We'll see about that ******* above taken from the 8-page CT Topic ********** It's a shame that thread got locked due to some bickering about other stuff when this subject had just come up. I, like Bob3k, also purchased the VOD of Missile to the Moon because in my heart I do love Rifftrax, I'm just a lazy SOB who would rather play a disk than sync a soundtrack. Unfortunately for me, I'm limited to CT releases (even though I believe them to still be "finding their groove" so to speak for all the reasons mentioned in the other thread) because I prefer the delivery system (DVD) and the movie choices (cheesy). I'm in this awful place where I want to see the best of both combined somehow. Bad movies on DVDs with the more "seasoned" riffing that comes with Mike, Bill and Kevin. I know it's my choice, and I'm good with that, but I sure loved the solo Mike riffs on the legend DVDs and would love to see more like that... I also want to see the CT guys get that old familiar feeling back in their riffing the way Mike & Co. have done so well. The "scripted, but it doesn't sound like it's scripted" thing. So anyway.... TorgosPizza..... I can't let that cryptic remark go unquestioned. Any hints? Hmmmmmm?

Hopefully TorgosPizza wasn't just referring to the shorts, which have since been released on dvd (volume 1, at least), but more actual movies like Missile to the Moon.
(Don't get me wrong, I LOOOVE the shorts!)

Hypothetically speaking...you could find a fan who re-authors the RiffTrax onto DVD and purchase them from that fan. If you also purchased the Trax from RiffTrax, then they (RiffTrax) get their money, you get the RiffTrax on DVD (already sync'd) and everyone is happy.
As long as you kept it on the "down low", I'm sure it would be alright.
I'm speaking hypothetically, of course...

I know someone who has done some of that. Requires the receipt as proof of purchase. BTW, it isn't me. I could never begin to master that.

Sorry, I've been away and haven't been able to check messages in awhile I can't really say since things are still kind of ... "up in the air"... but we have heard the cries of the fans and I, for one, really hope we get to release some stuff on DVD. At the very least, I'm hopeful that we'll get some of our recent "retreads" of Mike's solo-turned-three-riffer versions, such as Reefer Madness and Little Shop, onto DVDs and into store shelves. Unfortunately the business makes it not that easy to get things into retail, but perhaps we'll put some of them on DVD to sell here right on the site. It's definitely something we want to do, and something the fans have asked for the last couple years, so hopefully it'll come along

Well I'd love to see it happen. You also hinted in my whiny thread at rifftrax that even things like the slogan change might be a precursor to getting DVD releases to happen. But I must say that this: Oct 9, 2008, 9:28pm, dangfish wrote: It's a shame that rifftrax can never be released as DVDs like CT. Then it would get the love it deserves.
TorgosPizza wrote: Really? Never? At the very least, I'm hopeful that we'll get some hopefully it'll come along Your earlier hints were much more exciting/encouraging than your current hopefulness. In fact I'd dare to say (sadly) that I hold out much less hope now than I did before :/ Such is life I suppose.

ha! Yeah, I think I got carried away earlier. I'm trying to be more realistic now. The official status is "there are no plans" but I believe that it will happen. Might even start to see the RiffTrax logo around Best Buy...

"Get some"? "Release some stuff"? "Come along"?
I daresay that whatever fanliorel is expecting, we'd probably be better off without...

It's definitely something we want to do, and something the fans have asked for the last couple years, so hopefully it'll come along I purchased all four of the Film Crew DVD's and enjoyed them all. I barely double dip for DVD's, but if you were to re-release the movies that Mike did solo (now with all three guys) I'd easily buy them again on disk. I'm one of those who wants the DVD and can't be bothered to line up audio with a movie that I need to have already.

Looks like the Rifftrax crew will be getting some cash from me. I'm getting the DVD for "Night of the Living Dead" and "Reefer Madness". I'm also getting the Shorts DVD since a lot of people give it high praise.

Well Rifftrax did announce that they were releasing proper DVD's of the Three-Riffer versions for their PD films, so that's not that big of a surprise, even though I did think they were going to be confined to the website store. But seeing the Shorts Vol. 2 with a release date is pretty exciting! ;D

Yeah they are cheaper, but they also come out a month and a half after we'll be selling them
