Sometime ago, I was doing chores around the house and I opted to put in one of my MST3K videos while I was working. I pulled out my Volume 12 box, but I noticed that the disc for Secret Agent Super Dragon was missing. After checking all the usual and unusual places, I was forced to come to a conclusion: I left the DVD in the player, one of my family members carelessly removed it and didn't put it away in its box, and the disc was accidentally thrown away with a bunch of old magazines.
So, I send an email to Rhino informing them of what happened and asked what my options were. The reply said that I would get a replacement in several weeks after they receive a $12 check from me. I apparently sent my check early February and have just today received my disc.
So, there's not much more to add to that, but I thought it would be helpful information for those who suffer similar fates.

Good info. Maybe I'll tell them my Godzilla disc was missing.

Thats good to know. But I'm sure that Rhino can't do this for much longer as production on their releases must be ending soon.

My "First Spaceship on Venus" DVD arrived cracked and unplayable in the 20th Anniversary Box Set. I wrote to Shout about it...a couple of times, explaining the situation and explaining that nonetheless I would pay a reasonable amount for a single replacement DVD, I just didn't want to have to buy a whole new set! No answer. Tried calling the number on their site, but they weren't able to help with single disc replacements, just orders for retail sets. I tried one last time with e-mail, and finally got an answer! They sent me a replacement DVD for no charge, not even for shipping! I offered to send them the damaged DVD back if they wanted it, but they didn't need it. Thanks, Shout! Factory! Not the swiftest reply ever, but the correct one! :-)

Just out of curiosity, do they still send out the single Gila Monster discs for people who have Vol. 10?

Was it "a parent" who threw it out? See that's what annoys my about parents. If they carelessly throw something that belongs to you away, they're all like "You should be more responsible of your things", but God forbid, if you throw something out of there's (whether it be one of THEIR DVD's) you get bloody grounded! Where is the justice?!

That same thing happened to my sister. We brought her tv set home from college to get it fixed, as her roommate tripped on the power cord and it got ripped out of the tv. The repair guy said it wasn't worth it to fix it, and she might as well get a new one. So my mom left it out for the garbage collection. My sister later called and asked if it had been thrown out already...she left one of the discs from The Office Season 2 in it! D'oh! My mom however bought a completely new set because she had a coupon, didn't even think of calling in to get a replacement. I might take Rhino up on the offer, because I just found my disc for Shorts Volume One and it's all scratched and dusty

Several years ago I ordered MS3Tk Vol 3 from amazon. A day or two later I decided to watch Shorts Vol 2. Then I noticed that there were two copies of "The Sidehackers" and no Shorts Vol 2. I e-mailed amazon right away. Watched one of the other movies and went to bed. The next morning I noticed an e-mail from amazon apologizing over and over again for the mistake and they shipped my replacement set via UPS overnight They also gave me a link so I could print off a return label and send the set with the two sidehackers discs back. Well I was so impressed that they sent the replacement set overnight when I ordered it via the free shipping option in the first place. I just boxed up the set that I wanted to return and sent it off without even thinking anything more about it. Well maybe two-three weeks later I noticed a deposit in my checking account from amazon for the amount of the MST3K vol 3 set I guess they received my return and credited my account without checking their records or whatever. So long story short I did get my Vol 3 set for free ;D

Wow, I should try this - my disc of Space Mutiny went missing. I'd gladly pay $12 for a replacement, cheaper than buying the set brand new!
