I'm not sure what my dream show would be about, but it would star Ralph Wiggum Otto (from Malcolm in the Middle -- no pic) Colin Mochrie Jan Brady The Shat Isaac and Kelly Bundy ...and it would explore the many facets of Ralphie. If you could choo-choo-choose anyone from tv history, who would you cast?

Bob Newhart as the straight man, trying in vain to manage the chaos around him. Mary Tyler Moore as the pretty go-getter who charms everyone. Don Knotts as the bumbling fool. Gordon Jump as the eccentric boss who seems to cause more trouble than he stops. and Phil Hartman, just because I miss Phil Hartman.
And you know what? They made this show. It was called Newsradio and it was brilliant.
Now, if only they had been able to work in a trigger-happy David Rasche, a drunken Christopher Lloyd, and a trenchcoat-wearing Peter Falk, it would have been the best show ever.

I'm glad we can play with everyone.
Robert Stack-I'm thinking something like the Major from "Soap", but maybe a demented retired cop instead of military officer Katey Sagal-definitely a mom with leanings toward Peg Bundy Eddie Izzard/Christopher Barrie-I'm torn between the two for the father-maybe have the other one be the mom's jerkwad brother? Seth Green & Breckin Meyer-the nerdy twins Ali Larter-the older daughter, a Daisy from "Spaced" type of character-all over the map but very real Dwayne Johnson-gay Uncle Charlie, a physics professor Tim Conway-I don't care if he's a talking house plant, he should be in it Rita Moreno-feisty grandma Seth MacFarlane-the family's African Grey Parrot

I think I'd lean more toward a drama than comedy for starters. Maybe I can come up with something more comedic later.
Ian McShane as some kind of seedy boss who gets long monologues about anything. It doesn't matter. He's in Kings now, but anything that comes close to his work on Deadwood is fine by me.
Katee Sackhoff as - I don't know - a woman who is tougher than most men on the program, but still shows flashes of vulnerability.
Terry O'Quinn as a more peaceful, passive sage of a character to play opposite McShane. Perhaps a kind of rival. In whatever setting the show has.
Bob Odenkirk in a lighter, perhaps more eccentric role. He can provide comic relief but keep it believable. The Larry Sanders Show is a good example
Maura Tierney as somebody. Anybody. I didn't like her as well on ER as I did on NewsRadio, but I'd like to see her in something again.
And Christina Applegate, what the heck. That photo aside (and it is one of the finest photos I've ever seen), I've actually enjoyed her in a few things since Married With Children.

since ralph and phil hartman have already been named, i would have to ask ralph to make the occasional guest appearance. and instead of phil hartman, i'd settle for troy mcclure: you might remember him from such self-help videos as smoke yourself thin and get confident, stupid! then, no show would be complete without beatrice arthur - sure, she might not have a rack like kelly bundy, but she could still kick your ass! i'd have to have gomez from the addam's family - and....i don't know...freeway, from hart to hart, i guess. and the whole show would revolve around the supreme nerd that is craig feldspar from malcolm in the middle. greetings, earthlings!
