A little bit pricey but for the MSTie that has everything... In April of 1966, an El Paso fertilizer salesmen by the name of Hal Warren and his crew set out to make a popular commercial film. Armed with $16,000, no professional actors and no professional crew members, they made a film called "Manos: The Hands of Fate". The film is now regarded as one of the worst films ever made by many critics and historians.www.amazon.com/Hotel-Targo-Colbert-Coldwell/dp/B001LF363Q

I've always been interested in seeing this, and might just throw the twenty bucks in to do so. Does anyone know if this is something you download and then burn or do they burn it for you on a DVD-R? Just curious.
And someone should let Amazon know it's "Torgo," not "Targo."

I ordered one and it tried to add shipping so I picked up an inexpensive book to avoid that charge. You would think they'll fix it pretty quickly. Can't be good for sales to get the title wrong. ;D

Curious to see this, but I just checked IMDB ant it doesn't look like any of the MST3k guys or gals are interviewed. Really?? Seems only natural to me, but maybe they were just unable to arrange an interview with anyone.
Wonder if Netflix will ever get this. (It's not there now.)

Just picked up a copy myself. Looks like I have something different to look forward to You would think they'll fix it pretty quickly. Can't be good for sales to get the title wrong. ;D I thought it was pretty weird. You don't usually see typos like that on Amazon. I guess nobody's perfect. Not even almighty Amazon

I think I'll wait for the reviews. Normally I'd go after something like this, but $20 for 27 minutes of... whatever this is?
Nobody should make a profit from Manos.

I personally don't like watching films/movies/tv shows/whathaveyou on YouTube. Or online in general. I'd honestly rather pay for a decent quality copy than deal with that. And I'm guessing the filmmakers still own the rights to the documentary, so I'm willing to pay for it. But we've been through this in other threads

I'd also rather watch them on TV myself. Computer video doesn't do it for me.

I just watched it. Pretty funny of how things were done. I had already read a lot of the info on Wiki, but it was fun watching it and seeing that the set was still in existence.

Seems like little more than having people re-tell the same stories they've told/written in other articles, with occasional clips from the movie. Somehow I think "internet video technology," with all its limitations, is more than up to the task of bringing this piece of documentary history to life.

I'm into urban decay, so It was neat to see the original house and the goofy column set where the brides were.

i thought the sight of the run down house and those lonely columns seemed kind of sad. there was some interesting info in it, though i could have done without the extreme closeups of that rosenblum guy.

"They put the little girl on this column, because it was the smallest. Hal Warren thought that was genius."
