That is bad news and "It Stinks" So I guess I will not be catching any new episodes of Futurama after all.

What does "Torgo's Executive Powder" mean?
That is unfortunate. This is really a show that I imagine would lose all its revenue if Fox does recast it. I suppose this will the second cancellation of Futurama? I suppose stay tuned for whatever cheap-as-nails reality / police-chase program replaces it.
I guess Mr. Atari's going to chime in soon.

I could not agree more and will not be watching either. If you're going to have a show, go ahead and spend the money and get the voice talent. *steps off soap box*

Wow. One voice actor, I would have been fine with, but all of them?
What's the goddamn point of bringing it back, then?

My thinking is that this is just a scare tactic that Fox is pulling in an attempt to get the voice actors to drop their demands. They've done the same thing with the Simpsons voice actors over the years (hasn't stopped their salary from creeping up to half a mil per episode.)
I recommend that everyone email and snail-mail Fox, let them know that we want the original product. If they replace the voice actors, we will notice the diddlyifference, if I may horribly mangle the phrase.

Since King of the Hill is (has?) wrapped up, isn't there space available on Fox's Sunday night slate that needs filling? Wouldn't the show make more money on Fox than Comedy Central? Then they COULD pay the actors a fair wage???
Meh.

Nooooooooo! I'm going to hope that this is just a scare tactic, like someone else mentioned, because I can't have Fry, Leela, and Bender any other way.

If it is a scare tactic, it's a darn good one. But if the actors were replaced...I couldn't be bothered to watch it. Who else could do Dr. Zoidberg's voice? Really?

that's unbelievable. it's like a slap in the face to the loyal fans of the show. there's no way in hell i could watch futurama without the original voices. i always thought matt groening seemed like a cool guy - how could he be all right with this?

Nope, there's a new Mike Judge show with the hippy teacher from "Beavis and Butthead" coming. I'm not a massive Futurama fan but I like it-it's a quality show. It just wouldn't work without people like Katey Sagal or Billy West. I hope Affy is right.
