Ok Sky, now we're gonna have a lot of work on our hands when it comes to converting Bix to the Carolina side.....I'm having a hard enough time keeping myself there. Seriously though, WOW what a bad performance. 85% of it being Jake Delhomme's doing, mind you. (10% the O-line's occasional lapses and 5% punt coverage) Now that Matt Moore's the only other quarterback on the roster who isn't hurt, it's starting to look a lot like FA QB time. Jeff Garcia, Brian Griese, Brian Brohm, anybody! Not Joey Harrington, though - I'm not THAT desperate yet... You know, assuming John Fox is actually WILLING to pull a quarterback who is singlehandedly killing the team, that is. In hockey, they'll pull a bad goalie in a heartbeat - same goes for baseball and pitchers. But John Fox? I guess we'll find out next week at Atlanta.

After a first half of struggle, my Packers pulled it out last night. I was really surprised that Jay Cutler would totally self destruct...I mean, I knew he would at some point, but he really is a spoiled brat. He has talent, no question about that, but he has absolutely no maturity. On the sidelines he either looked lost or like he was pouting. I thought the Bears would be pretty good this year, but if Cutler continues to play like he did last night, the Bears won't be very good.

Looks like the Broncos got some of the Rockies' late-game mojo. That last Orton TD...THAT was a miracle.

Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory? Thy name is the Buffalo Bills. Never should have run out that kickoff, and I said while I was watching, not that I'm complaining. Reminds me of Rosenfels whizzing that game against the Colts last year.
Some iffy officiating (they call the "Brady rule" on Wilfork when it was a clean hit, then don't call a late hit on the Pats when what I saw was a late hit about three plays later?), some ugly announcing (how many times can he call Matt Light, Todd Light? I counted at least four).

Don’t watch many sports anymore. But I saw Favre was with the Vikings. I should hate that -being an old Packer backer- and I’m sure people are bitching and moaning somewhere (again, I don’t keep up with the news or the threads or the radio so I’m blissfully ignorant of such things for the most part). But my brother’s a long-suffering Viking fan, so I’m actually happy about it.
Sure Brett lives and dies by the sword, he’ll thrill ya and then break your heart within the next breath. But I hope the old man has enough juice in his arm, plays well enough to keep defenses from keying on that talented RB they have. My brother often said, “if only the Vikings had a QB…” the past few seasons. So stay healthy and shine, Brett, shine - give my bro something to smile about.
Oh and I turned on the TV in time to see the Packers game winning TD against the hated Bears. So that was nice to see at least.

Both my teams were smashed today. I'm afraid this might be a really long season for the Panthers.

I'm a Jets fan. 3-0 with Mark Sanchez as the Quarterback.

Well, the Cleveland Steamers Football Club lost to the Bengals!
Looks like they could be 0-16! Mangini is sooooo going to lose his job after this year and the only way the 'Browns' are going to the Super Bowl is if I take them!
Cleveland is an epic fail...again! No next year for us!

I was wrong about Favre. They're using them when they need him, not overexerting him, and he's proving to be a valuable asset to the Vikes. I can't wait for tomorrow night's game!

Well it was odd for this old Packer Backer and I guess now I'm suppose to hate Brett Favre according to some sports code... but I can't help it. I like him and he's the reason I've even bothered to watch the NFL anymore.
The guy played like he did when he was a youngster. The Packers solved AP and bottled him up pretty well as the game progressed, but they had no answers for Favre.
I guess the real test will come when the Vikes play the Ravens and then go on the road for the Steelers in weeks 6 & 7. If they beat Pit then they are definite contenders for the ring.

Okay, I really tried but now I'm going to say it: The Packers should fire Mike McCarthy. I mean, seriously, how the(bleep)do you lose to(bleep, bleep, bleep)Tampa Bay??? Aaron Rodgers gets sacked way too many times and the 3-4 defense couldn't stop my Chevy Equinox if the whole(bleeping)team were standing on the brake!!!
It's nice that the powers that be decided to get rid of Brett Favre, I could understand that in the long run. I could also understand firing the whole defensive staff after last year's 6-10 finish. But to not have really ANY improvement on defense, very little running game, and the really bad offensive line play, I don't think there's any way the Pack can even hope for a wild card birth. None. It's over and they're done for the year.
