Hi there just a wonder. I was just hoping seeing that everyones hung up on riffing things. What about the original use of fanfiction? Because those fictions are far and few between.
I've been dying ot know. Does anybody write about Joel, Mike, and the bots? I've got a few myself. I just haven't posted any yet. I'd really like to read some really bad. Yeah, I'm resorting to begging.
Maybe writing Joel in the bots in quirky situations? MikexJoel for that matter. Just as long as it's realistic. I'm picky about shounen-ai stuff. But whatever floats your boat. =D
So who wants to share?

I've written the first chapter of a crossover between MST3K and Harry Potter.
The inky blackness of space was calm and peaceful. Every single object seemed to move in its own way. Time seemed to standstill. But for the crew aboard the dog bone shaped ship affectionately called The Satellite of Love, a new adventure was just beginning… One of the occupants, a golden robot resembling an avian, named Crow yawned sleepily. He thought of the pranks he was going to pull on Mike and Tom that day when he noticed that Cambot was awake. Cambot, as you may have guessed was a robot whose primary function was to be used as a camera to record Mike and the bots’ adventures. You see, Mike and the bots were being held captive on the Satellite of Love and forced to watch bad movies once a week by their captor, Pearl Forrester. When Cambot was awake, that was the sign that Pearl was going to send them a movie. Crow then called Mike, Tom, and Gypsy up to the bridge. Mike, a blond haired human who was wearing a blue jumpsuit, shuddered at the thought of having to see Troll 2. Tom Servo, a red robot resembling a gumball machine, complained loudly about being woken up at this hour in the morning. Gypsy, a purple robot resembling a snake, mumbled something about Richard Basehart and sighed. The red light on the console began blinking and Mike muttered sleepily, “Yes Mrs. Forrester”?
At Castle Forrester, there was a mixture of glee and confusion in the air. Observer, known as “Brain Guy” to his cohorts, was an albino wearing a purple cape. He also carried his brain around in a bowl. Observer was actually a member of an advanced race who has evolved to a point where their intelligence has gotten so great they have to carry their brains in bowls. “This is ridiculous!!” Observer complained, “Why would a school of magic even exist when even the basic of logic denies its existence!” His ranting was interrupted when a large ape, known as Bobo, cheerily skipped into the room. “I get to go to Hogwarts; I get to be a wizard!” Bobo sang happily. “Listen up, banana brain.” retorted Observer, “I do so hate to tell you this, but if we all go to this so-called “Magic School”, there is a 90 percent probability that we will be scammed out of everything we own.” Bobo looked shocked. “We will not!” Observer shot back. “ Yes we will!” “Will not!” “Will too!” “STOP ARGUGING, YOU IDIOTS!!” Shrieked a voice from down the corridor. Pearl Forrester, a blonde haired woman in a lime-green lab coat stormed into the room. She looked to be in her 40’s and the amount of make-up on her face made one think that she was trying re-apply what the ravages of age had not taken from her. She turned and faced the main view screen. “Oh, hey there Nelson.” She said cheerily, “I just received a letter from this magic school called, I dunno, Hobknobs or something.” “Well anyway, they want me to become the new Muggle Studies teacher after the last one met an unfortunate… accident.” “I didn’t know she was severely allergic to bananas!!” Bobo shrieked. “Wow. So, will you accept the position”? Mike replied non-chalauntly. Pearl’s face lit up. “Are you kidding ?! Of course!” she replied, “Think of how much fun it would be for me to teach those wizard children that Monster A Go-go is the most popular movie of all time!!” At this remark, Pearl laughed evilly. “Oh by the way, Nel and tin-cans, you’re coming with me!” “But…why?” Mike said. “Because, you know better about this so-called “muggle life” than I do.” Insisted Pearl, “Besides, Mike, you’ve seen some pretty good movies on that satellite, am I right?” It was all Mike and the bots could do not to bust a gut laughing. All of a sudden, something appeared in Castle Forrester!! It was a football with a note attached to it. The note said, Pearl. Use this to transport you and your funny friends aboard that spaceship to Hogwarts. To transport, just touch the football. ~Albus Dumbledore Everyone looked skeptical, but Bobo jumped up and cheered, “ Yipee! I’m going to Hogwarts!!” and touched the football despite Observer’s protests. Both the Satellite of Love and Castle Forrester seemed to disappear. An intense white vortex surrounded our characters. Just before they blacked out due to the shock, they all thought that they heard a voice yell Protego!

Hey ronnie! There isn't a whole lot of of MST3K fanfiction out there, but it exists. Here's a few places to look: 1. The Mst3k Fiction PageThere's a few good ones here, but I recommend checking out 3000: A Space Oddity, especially if you're a fan of the Joel era. There's also And Other Science Facts, a really well-written story that follows Joel as he's shot into space and how he adjusts. Unfortunately it was never finished, but it's still worth a look. 2. MST3K Fanworks Livejournal CommunityPretty much all the stories here are worth reading. There's some good fanart too, if you like that sort of thing. 3. slwatson's MST3K fanficThis person wrote quite a bit of MST3K fanfic, my favorite being Evolving Tradition, a bittersweet Christmas story. They're all pretty good, though. There's also The MST3K Fanfiction Page, which has a few stories not listed here, but unfortunately it's gone due to Geocites shutting down recently. From what I understand, the owners have the stories saved, though when and where they'll be uploaded is unknown at this point. Anyway, hope that helps. You might find a few stray stories by searching "mst3k" on Fanfiction.net or Deviantart, but I'd say start with the links listed above.

Rather than start a new thread, I thought this belongs in this one. Forgive me if I'm wrong...
A plea...Please, Please, Please...whomever ran the MST3K Fanfiction Page that was shut down with the end of geosites: if you still have the stories, please upload them elsewhere! That was some of the best MST3K fanfic on the web (I particularly liked the Of Devils and Angels series. I'm heartbroken that it's gone!).

I recommend 'Toolmaster' Jeff Zehnder's " Space Camp". It's a great little explanation of the changes on the SOL from KTMA to CC.

I have them all linked on my Livejournal: nightcat-hekasu.livejournal.com/41738.html They're all right here, plus some extra stories I did later on.
