Again, this may have been done before.
Whose you're favorite MST3K movie Charachter who ends up getting killed.
I really like the marine biologist in ZAAT. It's a total ripoff that he died while the two inpit agents lived.

On the one hand, you have Carrie from "The Girl in Lovers Lane".
On the other hand, you have the girl at the end of "The Mole People".
Both of those were terrible story choices.

I didn't think Girl In Lovers Lane was such a bad movie until they killed Carrie... that was messed up even for me.
Also I liked Torgo but I'm not sure if he died.
He kinda just ran off in the end.

Chris the Dog in "Revenge of the Creature." The astronaut who sacrifices himself in "Space Travelers."

Lick-able character who got killed? Well, I'd llck Betty from High School Bi--- Hmm? Oh, you said "Like able!" Well that changes everything.
Girl in Lovers Lane - I hated that Carrie was killed, but I understand the reason behind it. Course I'd have preferred Bix going through an ordeal, realize he was a fool and grow up - without having to have her killed to get there... but that's just me.
I also liked Jonathon in the Painted Hills, he seemed like a righteous dude (though I wouldn't want to lick him).

Yep, Carrie wins the "Sorry You Died, You Were Cool" trophy. Really, the poor girl only wanted a boyfreind! What's so horrible about being in your mid twenties and just needing a little more than working at your dad's shabby diner and being leered at by the town psycho while everyone says you should be flattered by his interest!?
(That was really the worst part for me--how many women have desperately tried to get someone, anyone, to realize they are being stalked by a nutcase, while their loved ones all say, oh, he's harmless, he just likes you!)

Also I liked Torgo but I'm not sure if he died. He kinda just ran off in the end. Jackie Neyman (who played Debbie) said that Harold Warren wanted to do a spin-off film starring Torgo, so.... I guess he didn't die. Or maybe he would have been a ghost in the sequel. We may never know. Isn't there a fan-made sequel being made? The Lt. from Space Mutiny is an odd case. She really wasn't annoying like any of the other characters, but still got killed off.......... ..... and then came back to life two scenes later. Hmmmm...

To go a little off the topic:
I thought Devil Fish lost a lot of oomph when Beery Guy died. In fact, when Beery Guy, his girlfriend and Mumbly Girl all died the movie just wasn't as much fun. I don't know if I'd call them likable, but the movie was more fun with them.
The same can be said of Ev and Dan Kester in Giant Spider Invasion. Again, they weren't really likable, but the movie was a lot more fun when they were around.
The death of cheatin' girl in the last reel of Attack of the Giant Leeches and Leena's lobotomy in Parts: The Clonus Horror were both unnecessary and cruel.
Also, I think both the Inpit agents in The Blood Waters of Doctor Z were dying at the end of the movie. Helmet head had just succumbed to the snake venom and died on the beach, and I assumed that Martha was going to pull a Kate Chopin type death shortly after the movie ended.

Some thoughts:
1. I'm flippin' through my discs, and sometimes likeable people are bumped off in order to set off the entire rest of the stupid story. "Sidehackers" is an example. Rommel's girlfriend is killed and it's horrible and stupid, but I guess not "pointless" because it focuses the need for Rommel to develop his hopelessly stupid revenge plan.
2. I was surprised at how few characters there were, in ALL of Season 3, that I cared enough about if they had been bumped off. All those Sandy Frank films are populated with interchangeable, uncare-able people. Bump 'em ALL off, I say!
3. Here's a "what if" -- If they had killed off the little girl in "Tormented," man that would have totally sucked and we would have hated that picture's guts. It was edgy enough just seeing that guy THINK about it.
4. Having said all that, I couldn't find anyone in Seasons 1-7 that I would add to the list posted by others before me. Carrie should've lived. Jonathan was a good dude, but I guess something had to give in that plot to make things happen.
Now HERE'S an idea: Which characters would you have liked to see bumped off, that weren't? Thread please!

Lamont...she was actually intelligent & competent (by Space Mutiny standards, at least)....I have a soft spot for that cute little woobie Steve Codell...the geeky engineer...who's the 1st Railing kill & TP victim...Poor, adorkable woobie!

How about a likable character who ought to have been killed?
I think Skydivers would have been immensely improved if it had been Beth and not Harry who ate it in the end. In fact, that's what I thought was going to happen, that Suzy and Frankie would screw up the parachutes and acidify Beth's instead.
And then Joe and especially Harry become tragic figures who would go on a rampage, killing Suzy and Frankie. Okay, considering who made this film, I think I see what the problem is here.
But really, that twist wouldn't have been especially surprising. In fact, as I said, that's what I thought was going to happen, but the actual movie was even less imaginative than that.

The Sheriff from The Incredible Melting Man. He was the only guy in the entire film who seemed to have any sort of professional competence whatsoever, so of course Ted Nelson gets him killed.
Ted Nelson was a jerk and I enjoyed his death.

In spite of being a low-budget, scientifically-blasphemous piece of schlock, 12 to the Moon doesn't seem that bad on its own and I guess I would probably consider all the characters who died in that expedition to be fairly tragic.

Not really, the British guy and the guy on loan from Phantom Planet were completely forgettable.

Oh I don't know, the British guy seems a good sort. And he had that pleasant accent. I wanted to ad that I kind of feel bad for Paul in Moon Beast, sure he kills folks but it was than damn moon rock's fault. And when he realizes what he's done he decided to end it all rather than hurt others (unlike that other Paul, who says to hell with others, I wanna be a killing warwilf!). Then to have your best friend forced to kill you (Paul is not Paul anymore... He's SUPER PAUL!) Shot with an arrow while dancing the Frug. Tragic.
