His son Fred Frees was on Shokus Radio today and I sent an email asking him if he'd ever seen the MST'ed version of his dad's film The Beatniks.
The part where he says, "That was dad's foray into.... not to use your name..." is in reference to voice actress June Foray who was on the show too. I thought everyone might enjoy this clip.

That was a great clip, very cool that he's seen the MST3K version and the jokes about how bad it was were welcome.
Thanks for posting this.

Hey, pretty neat! Thanks for asking the question and posting this! Fun to hear what people think of themselves (or their relatives) getting the MST3K treatment. Cool that he has a sense of humor about it.

Very cool.
I still can't get over the fact that the same guy who voiced Boris Badenov wrote the lines, "I killed that fat barkeep!" and "Shut up, Iris! I tell ya, shut up!"

Of course, Best Brains loved Frees, at least from what I noticed in the ACEG where they denoted his voicing in some of the dubbed films once or twice.

Who did his mom play in the film? Bad Iris or Good Blonde Lady?

Thanks for posting this. Very cool. Interesting that the son was amused even though the Brains gasped loudly at several close shots of his mom.
