I am the proud uncle of two beautiful little girls. They are amazing. I'm trying my damndest to shoot as much video and pictures while they are young. To me, having that is priceless. One day I'll be old and they'll be whippersnappers and those mementos will mean the world to me and my family. I hope anyway.

We didn't take nearly enough video of our kids growing up. Get all you can.
Our first video camera recorded to our VHS recorder. It had a 50 foot cable so that was as far away from the VCR that you could get. A big and clunky RCA piece of crap.

I had a giant General Electric video camera when I was a kid. It was so big the case was literally a modified suitcase. The best part of it was the ability to dub rented tapes. We had a massive collection along with our home movies and I would give anything to have them back.

The first cassette based recorder my family had was just a small vcr in a bag with an enormous power pack. I don't know how my dad put up with it. It was kind of strange a few years down the road, with new technology available, when it became the vcr in our office. As a kid, I just couldn't quite understand how that worked.
