I was just going back and reading some of these for the first time. I'm lazy, you see, so long threads intimidate me. Some nearly bring me to tears with their length.
Anyway, I have to say most of these are pretty disappointing. I like the mystique of it all. I want to be thinking, "Hey, how did that guy think of that particular name," not "Oh....he got it from a video game. Just like the last 47 posters. Cool."
With that, I have to change my name to something really obnoxious and change my avatar to a hot female to really confuse everyone.

I posted that last comment as "Unsavory." I changed my name to this to bug people for a couple days. It'll be back to normal soon.

With that, I have to change my name to something really obnoxious and change my avatar to a hot female to really confuse everyone. In my music days I created a fictitious personality... Stanley Tweedle. Tweedle was the bands manager, books the gigs, designed the posters and is even listed in the press kits. I did it because I was older and if I presented myself as the bands "lead", that's an automatic knock (Heck, I look like freaking folk singer, not a rock star). So I had this split personality, Tweedle the manager, my real self as the rock God. And only one music guy ever got the Tweedle reference. It was hysterical, getting calls... "Mr. Tweedle, about booking the band...", and folks in the "biz" treated me different, with more respect in my Manager guise. But I was the same person! WTH was with that?

Yeah, I was thinking... "Evado? Now that's a dumb name!"
But "Witzner"... now hey, that's clever!
Thank you so much for sharing.

my real name in Spanish. I took Spanish from 7th-12th grade, and we had to pick "Spanish names", so I just picked Carolina and it stuck with me for almost 10 years.

Everytime I read 'carolina' I think "roses really smell like ooh ooh ooh".
Yes I know it's 'Caroline', but still.

Care To 'Splain Your Name stuff will be posted here from now on (or until some mod or admin decides to change it, until then I'll lock this baby up). The reason why is now in Forrest's post.
