Just spotted something in Hobgoblins that made me smile. Now we all remember from the Poopie tape Crow screaming like a banshee when Mike accidentally pulled his hand off during Beast of Yucca Flats, right? Well, apparently he doesn't have any issues with getting his hand removed if he does it himself, or if he forgets to take it with him when he leaves a room. Here he is on the phone with Bobo halfway through the episode. Now he's hung up. Movie sign! It's not clear from the photos, but as he ducks down behind the desk and the camera zooms towards the tunnel his hand is still clearly attached to the phone. I know this comes under the category of 'I should really just relax' but it made me smile to imagine him coming back up to the bridge later on to ask Mike and Tom if they'd seen his forgotten appendage anywhere...

I have noticed that before. It always appeared to me like the arm holding the phone was not connected to Crow's body.

I don't recollect that particular scene, but it seems to me that by that time the actually articulated Crow arm of the early seasons had been retired. I'd guess it was a separate one like they sometimes used for Servo.
Heh heh . . . which ep has the interchange:
"Could you get that? My arms don't work."
"Oh no, and my good ones are in the . . ."
I love those sort of moments and will have to watch for it. I don't remember which ep it is, but in one of the KTMAs Joel is seen in the theatre taping Servo's head back together. It may have been staged, since while it's true the breakage in the preceding host segment didn't look scripted I remember having some reason to believe they were pre-recorded by that time. Even if staged, it was fun.
