I was talking to Sky and he said I should post my stories about this. Last month I was at an autograph convention and there were several actors/actresses from MST movies at the convention.
I went because Barbara Bouchet was there (she played Ava Vestock in Agent From H.A.R.M.). Her and Rosalba Neri are my favorite actresses, and for years my #1 wish was to meet her in person. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area where Im from, but she's lived in Italy for a long time and doesn't do conventions that often.
It would take like 5 paragraphs of me blathering to convey the experience of meeting her so I'll spare you and give the short version..I got to talk to her several times. At one point I was at a photo dealers table when she walked up next to me and I got to stand there and joke around with her. To say the whole thing was cool would be an understatement. So I got my wish and Im a happy guy.
Some of the other people I saw-
Miles O'Keefe - Ator! I didn't recognize him at first when I walked by his table.
Barbara Steele - She's tall (I wasn't expecting her to be). She was wearing all black and had on a fishnet veil! She looked great.
Brett Halsey - Saw him once or twice.
Linda Blair - She had a dog or two with her at her table, she had a line the whole time she was there.
Lorenzo Lamas - I saw him a few times, he's tall too.
Nastassja Kinski - Saw her at her table once, she looked good.
Bernie Kopell - He had on his 'Doc' Love Boat outfit.
Cindy Williams - Still looks the same as she always did. There were long lines for the Laverne & Shirley cast.
Micky Dolenz - Saw him walking outside right when I got there. Didn't really see him inside because there was always a crowd of people at his table.
Stepfanie Kramer - She walked right past me twice.
I got to hang out with Ryan/Hoss from the board for a short while. We had a swell time looking at movie posters (I had never seen so many old movie posters/lobby cards/photos in one place).
Near the end of the show I was outside sitting on a bench, and Stephen Macht (from Galaxina, I love that movie), Joe Lando, and Sally Kellerman all walked by while they were leaving.
Anyway, there were so many others that I can't even remember them all. I had an awesome time.
