Playboy After Dark was terrific.
Anyone remember the Playboy record label? (It was a subsidiary of Warner Bros.) Paul Desmond and Jim Hall had a couple of albums on it. (The only place I've seen them turn up is in the box set Mosaic Records put out The Complete Desmond/Hall Quartet Recordings. It's VERY, VERY good!)
Playboy was pioneering in jazz as well as television.
