My recent post in the "Just finished watching" thread got me thinking about the hundreds of call backs in the show. Sometimes some of them are just so "out of nowhere" that they catch you off guard.
Of course there's the diaphanous gown woman from Manos with Joel singing the "Sandy Frank" song as she walks away from Mike tied to a pole.
Another one that just caught me was during "The Sinister Urge", when Gloria pulls up in her car, Mike says "It's Jet Jaguar." I got a good laugh out of that one, but even more so when either Tom or Crow ask "How did you know about that?"
In "The Blood Waters of Dr. Z" Mike starts making references to Bela Lugosi in "Bride of the Monster" with his "rice of pipple" comments. (I don't even think that was a riff in Bride either).

Ha! I just caught one in Red Zone Cuba, just after they get a car from a junk yard.
The Justine guy's wife is looking out the window watching them pull up and Servo riffs in a female Torgo voice "The master says you can't stay here!"

Maybe not the same, but I always liked the call-forwards to 'Spring Fever'. It's odd for me now to realize the show did not show that short until the penultimate episode of the show. There's the obvious 317 - Viking Women - waffles segments. But I catch that whistle other times.
And at rare moments both Cinematic and Rifftrax might throw an old reference out.
Sorry I have no examples. As I notice I'll mention them.

Speaking of call forwards I've noticed two recently, one in Warrior of The Lost world when someone says "I Accuse my Parents" even though that was like five experiments ahead.
Another from "The Brain that Wouldn't Die" , when Bill is trying to convince the woman that he can fix her scar tissue, he says "Anything is possible." to which Tom replies "WITH RADAR!",which is obviously a reference to Radar Secret Service.

These always catch me by surprise in CT episodes. I know in one movie Mary Jo says "The Torgo theme doesn't work without Torgo"

Actually, Lugosi's line in Bride ends with something about a "race of people", except it's delivered in his thick Hungarian accent, and chewing the scenery to boot. Crow and Joel respond in turn with "Rice-A-People"? "The San Francisco Treat?"

Well, I'm sure we can safely assume that there was more than one movie "in the house" being viewed and considered for upcoming episodes, and that the episodes weren't always taped in the order in which they're numbered. I wouldn't be surprised if those "call forwards" popped up because when they were, for example, taping The Brain That Wouldn't Die, they were also in the middle of viewing/writing sessions for Radar Secret Service.I also recall that in the opening host segment for The Brain That Wouldn't Die, Nelson's first episode as host, they make a reference to Beast Of Yucca Flats, which they didn't get around to doing until the next season, though there could well have been a copy kicking around the BB viewing room while the Brains made up their minds whether or not to take a crack at it -- along with probably half a dozen other movies as well.

I know the immortal "Watch out for snakes!" line has cropped up here and there but my brain is being pouty and won't give examples.

I enjoyed the callbacks that happened in the middle of Eegah, in fact. "Will the gentleman playing the guitar by the pool cease all activity, and oh, WATCH OUT FOR SNAKES." Robot Monster had a couple, of which I can't remember any specific examples - probably because I didn't find them as amusing. I'll just instead point out how disappointed I was that there were no Sidehackers riffs referring to Michael Pataki in It Lives By Night or Space Mutiny referring to John Phillip Law in Diabolik. It probably could have been anticipated, but I liked the suddenness and immediacy of the Riding With Death callback in Devil Doll. The first moment we see William Sylvester and it's "LEAVE ROBERT DENBY ALONE."

Another call forward was in the MST3k Home Game special, where they had behind the scenes segments of the upcoming Season 8 on the Sci-Fi Channel.
Mike and Kevin show the model of the SoL and Kevin explains that sometimes "Mike has to go down...down...down in the--lower regions...down" a clear reference to...well you know.
Here it is, at about 1 minute in

One that I was reminded of last night was during "The Castle of Fu Manchu," when Servo starts singing the rhythm to 'Never Steal Anything Wet" from 'Catalina Caper,' and even Joel seemed surprised at that.

And THAT makes me think of Servo singing out loudly "Harry Alan Towers!!" in Outlaw of Gor's opening credits, a callback to The Castle of Fu Manchu.
