We've mentioned shorts with bad messages, so my fellow MSTies, what shorts do you had pretty good messages for their audience? For me: Money Talks: Shows the wisdom of saving money and keeping a budget.
What to do on a date: Make sure the date is enjoyable for everyone, don't go overboard on the first date

Once Upon A Honeymoon: Make sure your phones match the house. Young Man's Fancy: Use electric everything. Last Clear Chance: LOOK. Speech: Using Your Voice: Lip and tongue action. General Hospital: Make sure you've got booze around. Hired!: Stay pink, soft and oily.

I've mentioned a couple of these examples before but I'll mention them again Hired! has a really good point to make: don't hire someone and then expect they'll do an amazing job right off the bat without any kind of training or guidance. (Unfortunately, I think that "training or guidance" has rather gone out of current management fashion.) The presentation is a bit silly, but Money Talks! has good advice about making a budget.

I always thought the admonition in Last Clear Chance where you're instructed to ask yourself, whenever you had to brake hard, why you weren't aware of the danger until you needed to slam on your brakes to avoid it.
It's a little accusatory-sounding in the short, but it was excellent advice that'll make you a better driver. Simply ask yourself why you had to brake so hard and ask yourself if you could have done something differently to avoid it.

Don't forget that 40% of all accidents are caused by women's hinders.

Whenever I clip my toenails after my shower (when they're softened by the water), I remember that exact advice from Keeping Clean and Neat.
Progress Island made me NOT want to go to Puerto Rico, which I suppose is a good message for me. It saves me money and keeps me from the perils of old world charm, folk dancing, and GAMBLING!

"Last Clear Chance" has another one:
Don't park your car on train tracks!!!!
The fact that they had to put this in a documentary short, kinda frightens me. I mean, was there a lot of this going on back in the 50s? Yikes!

Appreciating Your Parents has some very insightful advice on how children can help their parents and get an increase for a penny to a nickel allowance!

I definitely have to agree with Money Talks! I've been keeping a budget for over a year now, but I'm not a slave to it. I think that one has to be the best one for me. Oh, and there's Assignment Venezuela that taught me not to judge the width of bodies of water, natural or man made.
