I think It Lives By Night is great! Outlaw is great! The other two I can take or leave, but I am glad There's now a complete season of MST3K on DVD.
Anyway, I really don't care how balanced or not balanced these sets are. I take the discs out and put them in episode order on my shelf in custom-made boxes. It's only really an issue if there's an extra that spans over multiple discs, but that's basically solved by googling or just watching the damn thing when I first get it. I'll be happy as long as these sets contain any four new-to-DVD episodes.

VERY disappointing episode selection for such a milestone set. The Black Scorpion & The Projected Man are mediocre at best and It Lives by Night rubs me the wrong way. It isn't worthless but it IS my least fav season 10 ep.
Outlaw = Vol. XXX's saving grace.

Wonder if Projected Man will include both Regular and Theater-sound audio tracks? Probably not, but I'm just one o' them completists. *Help me*

I like this set. It Lives By Night, is one of my favorite Sci-Fi episodes and I love Outlaw. I have to agree with the general consensus on The Projected Man, that movie is a slog, but I have not seen The Black Scorpion.

Shout Factory is offering a deal. If you order now for $49.99 you will get free shipping and you will get your set One Month Early not sure how long this offer will last. But I might just take them up on it. I would like to know if Shout charges right away or when they ship www.shoutfactory.com/product/mystery-science-theater-3000-volume-xxxOK Edit, one month early is too good to pass up in my opinion. Got this with my order I thought that Shout charged me early on one of my orders I placed a couple of years back. Does not look that way now..

I'm honestly curious as to why people don't like "It Lives By Night". It's my favorite season 10 episode. The film reminds me of a cross between Puma Man and Werewolf, in terms of '70s cheese and goofy transformation. Throw in the mellow skiing doctor and it's prime for riffing. Yet it gets regularly dismissed and disliked around here. What am I missing? You know how you get sick of Rowsdower jokes in "Final Sacrifice", it's like that with this one for me. I don't hate the episode by any means and I think there are some big laughs to be had. But it does lose steam by the end, as I was tiring of the "squeak" comments and such. All told I found it a decent mid range ep. But it pales by comparison to that other season 10 cheese fest, "Track of the Moon Beast". Which is an even a sillier creature feature, with even funnier characters and better riffing start to finish.

Seems like a subpar set of pisodes. Outlaw is definately the winning episode here.

I haven't seen any of these episodes yet, so I'll judge for myself when the set comes out. Even if the episode selection is apparently lackluster, maybe they'll make up for it with some good extras.

It's not like ANY Rhino or SF set has had a rhyme-or-reason for its episode selection (sans the GAMERA set).

Man they pimped the hell out of Outlaw. Looks like they couldn't get anything on It Lives By Night though.
I wonder if they're ever going to get around to Joel's Lif After featurette. They've done everyone else.

Seems like a subpar set of pisodes. Outlaw is definately the winning episode here. I'm happy with all of them except Black Scorpion. I actively dislike Season 1 and always wince when I see one of the eps in a new set. I'm sure Josh is a great guy and writer but I was not a fan of his onscreen presence at all, and the writing was pretty weak.
