Bob Hoskins, the British actor who played Eddie Valiant in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? has died of pneumonia, he was 71. In addition to Who Framed Roger Rabbit , Hoskins appeared in movies such as Hook, Mona Lisa, and Snow White and the Huntsman he was nominated for an Oscar and earned a Golden Globe and a BAFTA. I personally didn't care for Roger Rabbit, but I have to agree with Spielberg that he was excellent in that movie, as well as many of his other roles. And bless him, he played Mario in the Super Mario Bros. movie. Maybe have to check out that Rifftrax in his honor.

This is really sad news. Hoskins was a great actor who never got the recognition he deserved.

I was so bummed out to hear about this; he was such a great guy. I don't think I've ever seen him in a bad role. Even the Super Mario Bros. movie which he often referred to as a nightmare he did incredibly well with. Sad to hear this, and his family left to bear the loss. RIP Bob Hoskins.
