Was Torgo's Trades deleted? It's still referred to in the FAQ, and I was hoping to ask a question.
I needed a comparison between two sites to make sure I got the best quality possible before committing to finishing my collection.

Coolgamer asked the above question up in the TOS board, and since I can't reply to that thread I thought I'd mention this here. Perhaps an admin can chime in, as well, as I haven't seen any other announcement or response.
Yes, my understanding is that Torgo's Trades has been discontinued as a board. There was very little activity there, and the amount of tape trading has stagnated over the years due to Shout! Factory official releases and other sources for MST3K episodes. I still roamed around there occasionally out of nostalgia, and there was some good information to be found there. I pointed out some old, broken links to an admin not long ago and he let me know that the board's days were numbered, anyway. It's too bad, as the board was a nice connection to a big part of this board's and many boardmembers' fandom over the years. But I understand where they're coming from. I've been here since 2005 and it was already very quiet in there back then.
Still, even though I haven't traded tapes in over a decade, I still have very fond memories of it. No YouTube. Virtually no other way to get episodes other than trading with a fellow fan. Cool way to make connections amongst fans. Sometimes you'd get approached about getting someone some episodes, but they had none to trade. That's how I ended up with a bunch of Devo bootlegs on cassette and some other stuff I never would have come into and enjoyed if it hadn't been for tape trading.
I'm guessing questions that would have been appropriate for Torgo's Trades can now be posted in the General Forum, but again, maybe an admin can clarify.
Thanks, Torgo's Trades! Keep circulating the tapes, all.
