What fillms that were featured on mst3k have audio commentarries on their DVD releases? I'm aware of two: incredibly strange creatures and squirm. Between the two the squirm commentary is the only one that mentions mst3k. The director says "the film shouldn't have been featured on mst3k( and of course he gets the name wrong) because you can't goof on what's already goofy".

Time Chasers has one where MST is mentioned. Haven't listened to it in a while so I don't remember exactly what was said but I know it was positive.

Danger Diabolik has a commentary featuring John Phillip Law. The forthcoming Manos The Hands of Fate Blu Ray/DVD will have a commentary with Debbie and The Master himself.

Running through my mind:
Godzilla vs Megalon Gamera Gamera Vs Barugon The Giant Gila Monster Tormented Monster A Go-Go Manos the Hands of Fate Santa Claus Zombie Nightmare Incredible Melting Man Revenge of the Creature The Giant Spider Invasion (I think the unofficial Bill Rebane release had one but I'm not sure.) Parts the Clonus Horror Time Chasers Girl in Gold Boots Blood Waters of Dr. Z Squirm Diabolik
Not sure about KTMA or not. Also didn't count any unofficial fan type commentaries.

Unfortunately Godzilla vs. Megalon's only had a VERY limited release, due to the commentary not being approved by Toho. And I think the Gamera discs with commentary are out of print.
I think Revenge of the Creature's is out of print also, since to the best of my knowledge it was only printed in the Black Lagoon Legacy set. It's a pretty damn good one though, as are the commentaries on the other two films.
This Monster A-Go-Go commentary you speak of intrigues me, however. I might have to look that one up.

That belongs on a bumper sticker sold at Disneyland: "You can't goof on Goofy."

There wasn't a specification that the DVD still needed to be in print. I just listed the ones that had commentaries. As for the Monster A Go-Go commentary, I haven't heard it but I read a review about it. It's Bill Rebane and someone else (not involved with the film). The review said that it was mostly Rebane saying "This portion wasn't me, it was Herschal Gordon Lewis".

I was just specifying that certain ones would be hard to find.

I remember back in 1999 at the Gateway Convention in St. Louis, Mike was asked if they'd ever release MST3K-TM with a separate commentary track. He answered that, if they did, it'd cause the movie to fold in upon itself and cause the Universe to be destroyed.
Still, interesting thought, though...

I thought to myself "surely more recent ones like Quest of the Delta Knights and classics like This Island Earth would have commentaries, right?" But I'm having trouble ever locating an official DVD release of Delta Knights.

I have entertained doing a fan-commentary for Bert I Gordon's 'Village of the Giants.'
As the proprietor of the film's unofficial fanpage, I could give plenty of information from my research over the last couple decades.

I'd love to be part of that commentary if'n your looking for someone to bounce off of.

Quest of the Delta Knights isn't cinema gold, and I wouldn't even say that it's as good as some of the other "actually pretty good" MST3K movies (is it unfair to always mention how good This Island Earth is unedited? I feel like I do a discredit to the other films when I lead with that example.) Having said *that*, though... Quest of the Delta Knights felt more "goofy" than "bad." It comes from the tail end of that weird 1985 to 1995 era where goofiness and sincerity sort of went hand in hand. There's a kind of charm to it, as if someone said "Hey, guys, there's a Ren Faire in town. Wanna grab some extras and a camera and make a movie?" It's an easy target for riffs, and I like that it was featured as an experiment, but I wouldn't mind hearing a few cast members, a writer, maybe a director, all talking about it.

I'd say that both riffwise and as an overall film, QotDK is on par with Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders.
