Normally I post my mst3k art in the general chat but since this falls more into original territory then I'll post it here. a comic based around those movie host programs. There's a bit of Mst3k in it but I was thinking more of stuff like Svengoolie, Elvira, Offbeat Cinema, stuff like that. The movie here was modeled after those low budget Korean animated movies that would show up in Wal Mart dollar bins like Space Thunder Kids so I tried to make the most crappy looking cartoon I could. So hope this entertains and suggestions are welcome. cowboycrocket.deviantart.com/art/Star-Warfare-580384121

Nice work! And you really nailed the essence of those cheap Korean cartoon movies.

I love the animated panel with the flashing glasses. Think you'll try a hypertext comic with multiple endings sometime? Or a Scott McCloud style crazy layout experiment via one giant image or CSS page styling? (example: Zot! scottmccloud.com/1-webcomics/zot/zot-01/zot-01.html ) Or in print you could experiment more with page layouts or send your panels to someone who has InDesign and could put a texture graphic behind them as a frame like a printed comic book. You totally captured a feel of Turkish Star Wars but Korean. And isn't it always the way that just when you've done something brilliant with a public domain movie someone comes along to say it wasn't really public domain after all?

thanks for the kind words. That animated panel was a pisstake on stuff like this. This came from Space Thunder Kids and yeah funny how you can screw up a scene where characters are just standing). As for future panel layouts i'll consider the possibilities. I do like to try different things and broaden my horizons. Anyway I did do an old video advertisement parody recently for a friend's art jam . It kind of covers the same ground as the previous stuff I did cowboycrocket.deviantart.com/art/Showbizz-presents-586639616
