Alright, I'm just going to be that guy who will ask probably one of the deepest questions imaginable.... So, honestly I've been watching many MST movies on their own just because that's how much of a life I have. No, but I like to experiement to see how "bad" certain films really are on their own, and honestly I've actually wanted to see if I could find Hamlet on its own. Problem is..... I can't. Would anyone happen to know, despite the film being merely a German made-for-tv play, if the movie has gotten any commercial release or seen the light of day on its own? I'm a fan of the original story/play and honestly wouldn't mind watching it on its own. Anyone who knows, please let me know. Thanks!

I recall one of the fan-made DVD sites selling copies of the un-mst'd films, aside from the films that were currently being sold by other DVD manufacturers (Alpha Video, etc.). I'll let you know if I remember which one.

The gentle man who did the Manos restoration I'm told is working on the Hamlet Restoration as well (though it won't have a wide release).

Is this site trustworthy? I just want to make sure, for I never used or heard of it before.

If I recall, the unMST'ed version of Hamlet was waaayyy longer than the MST'ed one, so that might be a chore to watch. Course the play is pretty long itself, but all that dreariness will make things worse.

I'm confused by the description - the top note says "Hamlet (w/ timecode and edited by BBI)", but the later note say "This is the original, uncut, 1st generation, A+ version".
Is this the full original 152 minute version, or BBI's 80 minute edit, just without the riffing?

I always like to finish what I start, you know?

You may want to contact Ben Solovey about that particular version of Hamlet.
