Hi All,
I'm in the process of editing 209 - The Hellcats and noticed at the 12 min. 55 sec. mark, right after Adrian (the boss) drives off from the drug delivery, Tom says: "Well be right ba--". His line is cut off and the scene jumps.
Can anyone with a copy of 209 recorded from TV compare to see if it's the same?
Thanks!

There is indeed a cut there. Rhino cut a bumper out in that spot (and in at least three other spots throughout the episode) and since that line was so close to it, it cuts out very abruptly. And this isn't the only episode that's like that either! If you've got 10 bucks to spare you can buy the episode from the Vimeo On Demand website, or rent it for a mere $3 right here: vimeo.com/ondemand/mst3k/122454728 (oddly, the running time is about three minutes longer since a bunch of blank space was left in where the commercial breaks should go) or I could just PM you a link of an upload of the show (I'm sure I can't just post it right here without getting in trouble).

If Shout ever reissues this to DVD, let's be sure they get a corrected version on there.

Thanks for the info lho! I might get it from cheesyflix, I don't feel like editing out the dead spots. Save

I'm not so sure that's the best alternative. I bought Sidehackers from them a while ago and it had the bumpers missing as well. While that's the only episode I bought, I kind of get the feeling that the episodes that came out on home video earliest might all be sourced from the VHS or DVD releases put out by Rhino and not fan recordings as they claim (not 100% certain, just a hunch).
How important is it that you get these episodes out in order? I can't guarantee that Shout! will re-release Hellcats on DVD anytime soon (I'm wondering what they'll even do with the 5 or 6 or so individually released shows that are still OOP) but maybe you should just hold out and see if they eventually do so?

What's that "Save" that keeps showing up under the post? I'm not typing that.

We're putting them out in sequence... and I'm about to upload 113 and start editing 201. So, 209 is a ways off. I was placing the text and retiming... so, it's on hold for now. I e-mailed cheesy to see if it's complete. If not, I 'll go with the Vimeo copy and edit it. Save
