I'm just going to assume it's probably the former cause Shout DID say they were planning on putting the segments on there.
(If the latter were the case, The Amazing Colossal Man wouldn't be on there either, even if it was just a VHS release).

I'm waiting to hear about the Poopie! disc (i.e., is it a master tape, or ripped from YouTube), myself.

The Poopie disc looks like it's all taken from master tapes. Poopie II runs about 27 minutes, which I suppose is the full version?

Just a heads up. The host segments from 212 - Godzilla Vs. Megalon are not present on the Satellite Dishes DVD. Maybe the exclusion was related to clips from the film being featured prominently in the host segments. We all know how Toho is very litigious. Or perhaps because the episode was technically released, for a short time, in the original Volume 10. All the other host segments from the unreleased episodes are presented in their entirety. A longshot I know, but is there a chance that they are on the disc but not accessible through the menu? I recall the movie ED WOOD had an issue with one of the extras that had to be removed last-minute so they just removed the title from the menus but you could watch it through a DVD player that lets you type in the title number of the program. Most computer-based DVD-playing software lets you do this with relative ease; I use DVD Shrink because it will examine the titles in a way that it can determined which titles are "unreferenced" and list them separately.

Even if the clips from Megalon were the reason, there was no reason why they wouldn't include segments that didn't feature clips, Orville Popcorn and all that. The idea that they withheld all the segments because of an issue with Toho makes no sense.

Guess we'll have to bug Shout about it.

I don't see why there are doubts about the source for Poopie. That's from a master for sure. Yeah, it has some audio dropouts and tape hits. But that ain't no Youtube rip!

This is extremely minor, but the menu for Poopie looks horrible. The silhouette is riddled with gif artifacts. I'm sure a vector file could have been easily provided to the authoring house....

Was all the material from the Scrapbook covered in the two parts featured in Vol XV?

Finally got mine just minutes before I had to get ready for work. I only had time for one special feature, so I selected Show Down in Eden Prairie, which was the one I wanted to see the most. A sorrowful farewell (for now) to the great show we all loved by four selected crew members: Kevin, Jim, Patrick, and Beez. The one thing that stuck out to me was that Jim let it slip that AMC was interested in picking up the show, but they said no because they felt it was time to move on. So the show could have continued, it just didn't. Which sucks because I was watching AMC a lot back then.
I probably won't get to anything else until tomorrow. I have work for the rest of the day and when I get off I'll be doing my final film for my Schlocktober marathon on the Rifftrax board. But when I wake up tomorrow I am totally digging into this baby.
Now to just twiddle my thumbs until my Season 11 Kickstarter set arrives.

So the show could have continued, it just didn't. Which comports with certain accounts from back then that there was in fact interest in pursuing more seasons from a few different networks, but it was mainly just Jim that turned down another season, while there was still some interest from the cast. But Jim had the licensing agreement with Rhino and 10 seasons-worth of episodes to release, so he was set. Which could be another reason why Jim isn't remembered too fondly by those that worked for him.

Personally I don't hate Jim as a person. I just don't like some of the business decisions he's made with the show.

The AMC claim could use some more context. How late in the game was the offer made? Was it after the performers had lined up other gigs? After Jim had sold off the set and props? The doc makes it sound like Jim wanted to do more and the rest didn't, but I find that really unlikely. There is more to the story.

It seems like it was a mutual desicion to end the show and not continue on with another network. I'm sure Jim would have liked to have had more episodes to sell to the network so I doubt he was the one who wanted to end it. Frankly I'm happy the show ended when and how it did.
