Now that many of us are banished for the good of the realm because we're practicing social distancing like responsible, twenty-first century adults who can share information faster than we share diseases, what MST3K episodes do you think we should settle down with? Part of me says that episodes like "The Incredible Melting Man" are thematically appropriate, but another, perhaps wiser, part of me thinks that episodes that take my mind off of such plague-like symptoms might be better, episodes like This Island Earth or Cave Dwellers.

Well, It Conquered the World would be a good option since the Venusian Pickle's flying cooties kind of look like germs.

It Lives by Night has a lot of STD vibes.

If you want an episode similar to what’s currently going on, I guess a good option to pick would be Squirm with all those words invading the south.

How about "City Limits"? The film takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting after a virus wipes out most of the adults in the world.

I've been putting a movie list together over the last few days in anticipation of having work cancelled long term (meeting first thing tomorrow morning)
Feel like any string of semi-related episodes will do the proper distraction trick. Will share list when completed

Yeah, the South can't handle all those words. (I kid the South - and your typo). How'bout Cave Dwellers? 'Cause it'll feel like you're living in a cave after a while, being cooped up. Invasion U.S.A? 'Cause, you know, this thing is invading the U.S. And it has the short A Date With Your Family. 'Cause people will be only seeing their families and all. Being stuck in their homes. Teenage Strangler. 'Cause you'll be wanting to strangle your family after being cooped up so long with just them. Escape 2000. 'Cause you'll be wanting to escape. From...your family... Tormented. 'Cause...well.

Robot Holocaust. Think about it. This is what the robots have been waiting for. Also, I'm guessing it's been awhile since everyone here has watched it, so get in there and show a little season 1 support!
Also Space Travelers. Three guys in a confined space breathing with limited air. And Hackman. I don't know how this isn't considered one of the greatest eps of all time.
Anyway, all eps are good for passing the time while we weather the storm. It's strong tonic in these times.

Big yes to Robot Holocaust
Also, isn't Warrior of the Lost World kind of a post-apocalyptic film? I mean, it is a Mad Max ripoff. Seems like a good episode to watch at this time.

How about "The Day Time Ended"? You'll be so busy trying to figure out what's going on that you won't be thinking about the COVID-19 situation.

Ah yes, The Day Time Ended. One of the only decent season 12 episodes. If we're going to include movies that are so bizarre that they make your head spin, I'd like to suggest Touch of Satan.
