We are staying home this Thanksgiving, passing up on 2 separate dinners with nearly all of our outside family. Will be putting on dinner in our own home just for ourselves like many others and actually looking forward to it, but still going to miss the visiting and the normalcy.
May create my own lineup from our personal collection of episodes to play throughout the morning, later afternoon, and into the evening. Silly, but would perhaps work as a claw back into some sense of normal, even if well bygone, of having it play as background on living room tv. It was weird how much i enjoyed it when IFC was scheduling episodes into regular programming over the summer.
Assuming 10 or 12 episodes total, beginning at 600am and on through til midnight, what would you put together? will post what i end up with whenever i get down to it - any and all suggestions (with any available reasoning) would be fun to read and appreciated
only thing i know for sure is mine will end with 321s Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, which seems like the natural cap

I would include 522-Teenage Crime Wave since it takes place on Thanksgiving. It should put everyone in the holiday spirit. One of my favorites, 16th on my overall list. Had forgotten the son was coming home for Thanksgiving in it. I think what I want to do is add some middle-of-the-road episodes that I dont watch a whole lot to have on through the morning and save the ones we'll actually sit down and watch in the evening. 522 as good a candidate as any among the 4 eps to run 6pm-12mid. I really want to overthink this, and this helps!

Could also do 701-Night of the Blood Beast with the Thanksgiving host segments.
You could try one episode from each season from the Comedy Central-SciFi Channel years and see how it works out. They wouldn't have to be watched in the season order. That would give you 10 and you could throw in a couple others you like.

About a week ago I started thinking about a lineup of my own where each successive episode would have a callback or reference to the previous one, although I really didn't get too far with that idea before opting to pick a handful of episodes on Shout! TV and from my shelf. Less creative, sure, but simpler for my feeble mind.

Oooh, sounds like a fun idea. I've thought about doing my own Turkey Day marathon myself where I could watch it with some friends online. However, I'm really the only person in my friend circle who even watches MST3K. So, I don't know how well that would go.
Anyway, I would agree with sol-survivor that playing one episode from each season would be a pretty cool idea. You'd get a nice variety of movies and riffing styles. For season 1, I'd suggest either Moon Zero Two or Robot Holocaust. And I would imagine that Godzilla Vs. Megalon would be one of the last four that you would play. As for Sci-Fi era episodes, The Screaming Skull and I Was a Teenage Werewolf are both quite good.

I'll be listing my own T-Day episodes in my selection thread.
