vinegarsyndrome.com/collections/frontpage-partner-labels/products/ilya-muromets-deaf-crocodileThis news seems to have slipped through the cracks as far as I can tell, but Vinegar Syndrome and Deaf Crocodile have partnered to release Ilya Muromets (aka The Sword and the Dragon) on blu-ray. The limited slip-cover version is already sold out, but those of you who collect unMiSTed films can still get the non-slipcover version. The folks at Vinegar Syndrome do great work. They are like the Criterion of trash. These are the same people who restored and released Alien From L.A., Hobgoblins, and of course who could forget Blood Hook.

Yep, I saw this. Posted about it on Twitter.
Robot vs. the Aztec Mummy is being released by VCI in a few months too, while Incredibly Strange Creatures will be in a Ray Dennis Steckler box set.

that movie hold a special place for me. its a long story, but i helped a friend find a place to live when she was pregnant with her son (again long story). when she was taking the train to where she was going to live, i was chatting with her and i linked the film (the MST3K version) for her to watch while on the train (since she is Russian). she calls me her little brother for what i did for her.
