Incidentally, I didn't mean anything personal or insulting, when I said that, Afgncaap. It's fine if someone doesn't like Firefox. I didn't even like it, at first. But I do think that it's the best one out there and it's impossible to say that IE and AOL are actually better than Firefox, aside from personal preferences. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if AOL purposefully did something to make Firefox, and even other browsers, slower and less functional in order to get people to use AOL's browser. I'm positive I read something along those lines, a few years ago.

I just chalk it up to dumb luck, really. I don't think AOL is the best system around, I just happen to know that on my own computer it works the best. When we bought a new computer, we tried Firefox before installing AOL, but it still seemed as slow as ever, so back to AOL we went. When we finally get Broadband, I expect that Firefox'll be up to the task of surpassing AOL's speeds, but...for the time being, AOL just works best on my machine.
Having said that, I'd love it if Firefox would adopt an AOL-style browser. All of the different browser windows confined to a single program window. It keeps my status-bar less cluttered.

I don't like tabs.
I like AOL being able to act as it's own Shell program, so that multiple web-page objects can be opened within AOL. It keeps my taskbar from being cluttered, and has the added benefit of actual multiple window objects.
Granted, if that's what you meant by "tabbed interface," then I profusely apologize for misunderstanding.

Ohhh, okay. I get you, now. I was an AOL user a long time ago, so I remember. I also wasn't a fan of tabs when I first used Firefox, but I warmed up to it. I also don't like cluttering up the taskbar. Mostly, I've found that Firefox is something that takes some time to get used to but, when you do get used to it, you can never go back to anything else.

I switched over to FIrefox from WIndows recently and it's so much better. DOn't take my word for it though as I'm not very computer literate.

I've had FireFox for years and no problems. This board is cool when a member can ask for computer help and everyone tries to oblige!
