I will be going to the Natural History Museum on Saturday morning if anyone is interested. Like dude, I am SO there. Me too! If I can afford it, I'll come in Thursday evening so I can do the Mt. Evans trip on Friday. I want to see a mountain!! Mr. Atari, the St. Mary's Glacier site listed it as a beginner's hike, which would be good for me. Is the Mt. Evans higher or more difficult? I know I won't be flying out until Monday. Anyone want to do some downtown Denver sight seeing on Sunday with me? Or will many things be closed since it's a Sunday, Mr. Atari? I'd love to see that art museum. I'll check to see if it's open on Sunday. I will be at the Friday night dinner for certain, and most likely the Saturday night dinner as well. I'll probably take a shuttle from the airport, and will give gas money to those driving around, but I don't know that I can afford a rental car as well. I'd be interested in the recording session, if it occurs, and we simply must watch some ep's! I'd be able to chip in on the conference room if it does turn out to be around $20-30 per person.

I tried to pick mountain activites that were very easy and very rewarding.
Mt. Evans is a 14,000 foot peak that you can drive to the top of. The parking lot is a few hundred yards away from the summit, so there will be a tiny hike to get there.
St. Mary's Glacier is more of a hike, but still rated for beginners, and nothing to be too afraid of.
And Change, I've only been there a couple times, and don't really know the lay of the land. I don't think there's a bad spot in the park, though.

It all sounds good. And, I'm in on the museum trip too. Duh. If I'm not too hung over Sunday morning, I'd like to come to church too, Mr. A.

That may effect the type of site we will use. Thanks for the feedback. What time's church?

I'd love to see a bunch of MiSTies show up for Mr. A's Sunday performance...a couple rows in the back where everyone's just riffing on him in hushed voices...instead of "Amen!" it's "Hikeeba!" etc etc etc

So is it safe to assume that Colorado won't have the barbaric beer laws as in Pennsylvania?

I certainly hope so....if I say something nice about the Cubs, may I have some Heineken?

I'm not sure what the Pennsylvania laws are, but around here, drinking's just fine.
Liquor stores are closed on Sundays, but that's about as limited as we get.
Colorado does have a smoking ban. So the bars and restaurants are all smoke-free. Which could either be great or could suck, depending on your preference.

In Pennsylvania they have state liquor stores that only sell wine and spirits and separate stores for beer and they only sell by the case. Colorado does have a smoking ban. So the bars and restaurants are all smoke-free. Which could either be great or could suck, depending on your preference. Great news.

In Florida they open at 1 on Sunday so if you didn't like the sermon you can do something about it. Same as in Florida. If you serve food in your bar or retaurant, you can't smoke. Oh, I won't be coming to church on Sunday, I have to fly home that morning.

As I mentioned just once, put me down with a very emphatic question mark. I'll have to play by ear my ability to make the trip. Let me know if there's some deadline I need to let you know by.

Pretty sure I'm no go. OH, STOP THE SUICIDE THREATS! We have various family travel "duties" that are eating up that part of the budget, so no. My wife even has a good friend who lives in Denver, but she wouldn't take the bait.
