I hate to just talk about the weather, but we've had a rough stretch of it the last few weeks. Blizzards, tornadoes and so forth.
How's the weather where you are? A blizzard has been going on for two days here in South Dakota, but it seems nasty everywhere.
Anyone else snowbound or generally feeling oppressed by the weather?

Tornado activity sucks hardcore. The wind is a right bastard at times.

I grew up in tornado alley in downstate Illinois. I've been in quite a few during my time. Quite a few hit the town during the years.
One of my earliest memories is being carried down in the basement in the middle of the night, and then after waking up, watching through the basement window with the family trees across the street being uprooted. You have a healthy respect for nature after that.
We also had one that damn near hit the high school while it was in session.

Honest to god, I just got a call from my aunt in Columbus, Georgia. A tornado hit, where she lives was in the middle of it, but it skipped over her complex. She and all my family down there are all right.

Yeah, we have plenty of tornadoes here, too during the summer. I'm glad I've never had to deal with one up close. An entire town (Spencer, S.D.) was wiped off the map not far from here about 10 years ago. They're still putting it back together. Scary stuff.
On a happier note, we dug my car out of a five-foot snow drift that it had sat in for two days. Started right up, though.
And yes, there's nothing more depressing in the winter than an ice storm. Kiss your electricity good-bye for a good while if that hits your area.

You crazy people in your stormy areas. Blizzards, tornadoes, etc.
Come to Florida! We have great weather...except for the hurricanes...and the thunederstorm that happens every day during the summer and the heat...well...you're probably better staying where you are...

I'm tired of all the snow and ice. A co-worker of my Mom's fell and broke her ankle in three places and another friend of mine broke her elbow. both of them slipped on ice. It's been snowing off and on today. Thankfully, it's too cold for tornadoes but once it gets warmer, I have that to look forward to as well.

I'll take my hurricanes (hopefully not too often) over a tornado all day long. At least we know they are on the way.
