The new season is almost here and looks to be a great year. The AFC is the much better conference and the Patriots, Chargers and Colts look like the front runners. Like every year their will be a surprise team. Tonight's game between the Saints and Colts I'm going to go out and say the Saints take it by 3. I like their couch and QB. The Colts defense has lost a few from a so-so group last year and will take a few games for the replacement to start settling in.

THE BROWNS ARE GOING TO TOTALLY DOMINATE!
The bottom of the ranks, that is.

Someone needs to post the weekly games so we can do our picks. I think Dave Walker used to do it, but it might have been Ro-matt. Why don't I do it? I don't know.

I'm excited about football season, even though I don't see my Packers doing any better than 8-8. The Bears should win that division. The best teams are all in the AFC anyway.

As one of the last 3 people on earth who prefer baseball to football, I have a difficult time paying attention to the NFL season until after the World Series.
But last night's Colts-Saints game was a good distraction from the gut-puncher that was the Cubs' 9th-inning loss.
And it's been nice to see the Raiders are finding new ways to be a terrible team. Can't sign the #1 overall pick? I wouldn't worry about it. It's probably not that important.

Yeah, even if they sign him, he doesn't have anyone to throw the ball too. And people here are pretty bummed about the Cubs, Mr.A.

Yeah, even if they sign him, he doesn't have anyone to throw the ball too. And people here are pretty bummed about the Cubs, Mr.A. Well, they're already down three four to the Pirates tonight. Maybe I should be watching more football. Actually, I'm not panicking too much yet. I was in the first row of the LF bleachers at old Milwaukee County Stadium in 1998 when Brant Brown dropped a routine fly ball right in front of me. The error let 3 runs score in the bottom of the 9th to lose the game and the wild card lead with 3 games left to play. I remember in 2003 when we were 1.5 out on Sept. 20th and won the division a week later. September is the cruelest month.
