I figure there has to be a few home theater people here who can give me some advice. I recently purchased an HDTV and am trying to determine whether to use an HDMI connection or component video connection between my non-HD DVD player and television.
My DVD player will up-convert to 1080i, but I've heard it's kind of a toss-up when it comes to video quality. I'm currently using an S-Video connection and it looks great, but I'd like to go further up the line in video quality if possible.
Any suggestions?

HDMI is supposedly better but I can't say. My tv is component video. Looks pretty damn good.

HDMI provides Digital Rights Management support where C-Video does not. In other words, HDMI can prevent you from watching content you don't somehow own or license.
