The loud shirts, the Coke bottle glasses, the goofy voice, the rotund flabbyness, and the trademark Crayola hat...this guy was destined to be a comedic legend! Joel and the bots give him quite a ripping in "Catalina Caper", and he definately is much better comic relief than Robert Donner's constant pratfalling. And, Mike and the bots' frequent shout-outs of his name during his brief screen-time in "Village Of The Giants" send me in hysterics every time. Sure, he appeared in lots of cinematic sludge, but lets not forget such classics like "Grand Theft Auto", "The Cat From Outer Space", and the Don Knotts classics "The Ghost & Mr. Chicken" and "The Love God?" I honestly am tempted to rent and watch the appallingly ugly "Death Wish 2", where he's billed as a tourist! Lovable bumbly Jim Begg seems WAY out of place in a Charles Bronson film, wouldn't ya say? Hell, he even produced the horror classic "Leprechaun"! Could it have been HIM that gave a young perky unknown Jennifer Aniston her big break? It's high time we give the great Jim Begg some long overdue props!! Let's hear it for the one and only..... JIM BEGG!!!
