I got a question...does anyone know how to play the theme? I mean, is there anywhere I could get the sheet music or tab or even just an explanation of what keys to play in what order? Because I'm part of an...er...experimental duo that plays drum and synth weirdness and I'd love to learn the theme. I usually play drums or guitar, but I'm getting better on the keys...
I've found some Man or Astro-Man? tablature sites that have the basic guitar riff, but I'm looking for something more substantial and accurate. Anyone know of a good site or whatever?
thanks

I don't have any tab (I ain't too good with tab), but I know the chords on guitar.
The song's in the key of E.
Here's what it looks like as a chord chart: ______________________________________ E A E A In the not too distant future, next Sunday AD E A E A There was a guy named Joel, not too different from you or me (this pattern continues for the next 2 lines)
F#(slide up surf style) B (slide up) But his bosses didn't like him so they shot him into space
Second & third verse same as the first until...
F# B I should really just relax D E E7 For Mystery Science Theater 3000
That last E7 has the surf whammy bar action. I voice it as a regular E chord with my pinky on the 3rd fret of the B string.
______________________________________ As for the keyboard notes, they are... During the verse: E, E, octave E, A (rest) D, A, A, B, B (repeat).
On the F#-B turn around at the end of each verse: F,F#, F#, F#, F, F#, F#, F# A#, B, B, B, A#, B, B, B, B
During the "Robot Roll Call", there are no chords or notes.
Hope that helps. #nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys

Hey, it helps me. Thanks, Sampo. Good to know. Don't know why in the nearly 15 years I've played I've never tried to play the themesong.
