[glow=green,2,300]I was just wondering, in Eegah when the guy leaps over the fence as Eegah is causing chaos by the pool, what is the significance of the L.A. Stevens riff?[/glow]

You do need to do more homework.

A note on DeBarge -
They were a crappy 80's soul group, known for their big, overdone hair (they were all guys I believe), and they sometimes wore long coats like Estevez in the movie. Hence the reference - I think.

I think they refer to 3M because it's the dominant company in Minneapolis. I once had them as a client, and I used to travel there all the time. Many, many people who grow up there hope to get a job at 3M and work there until they retire.

The "Yeeeeeeesssssss?" riff refers to a fourties actor named The Great Gildersleeve. He had a popular radio show where he was the water commissioner in a small town. He always answered with that "Yeeeesssss?" bit.

Thank you for telling me what a snuff film is. Now I can show off and laugh fully when I see it with my friends. Um. . This may have been answered before, but what is a Monclair Moment?

Monclair Montclair? Moment refers to a brand of cigarette's advertisement. I don't know if it refers to television or magazine ads, not that old.

Here's one from "Touch Of Satan"-
Melissa is rambling on about how she got posessed, and she says something about Gorgo and Mormol, and Servo goes, "and Jooooe!". What's that, and is that the same thing they reference in "Prince Of Space" when Krankor's guys come out of that little hole?

I am watching the "Pod People" and I simply do not get the "Cheif/McCloud" jokes in it. Someone tell me before I explode.

In "Blood Beast" what does the line "Scott McCloud, Space Angel" refer too.
I always laugh at it because it sounds funny, but I'm laughing at something I don't understand. I'm a wingnut, I know.

What does the "WIPEOUT" line in "Monster a go-go" mean?

What does the "WIPEOUT" line in "Monster a go-go" mean? It was a big surfer song from the 60's. I don't remember who wrote it though.
