As the name suggests pick your favorite MST3K related band

What about Daddy-O's backup band? Or the Fem-Tones? Or the Beau Brummels?
I'd take any of those 3 over the ones listed.
Rock candy baby!

What about the Del-Airs from Horror of Party Beach?
Or the group from Pod People?

Well of what's listed I'm going with Jimmy Bryant and the Night Jumpers. The guitar player was really quite good.

I'd have to go with Jimmy Bryant and the Night Jumpers also.
It's classic when at the beginning of the "Ah So" song during the beginning of the song when they stop and the drummer stops and says "Ah So" like he's a Japaneese guy.

Another that should be on the list is that that rock combo (with conductor) form Earth Vs The Spider.

Yeah. I voted for the Hobgoblins band soley for thier Lead singer who was hillairous.
But really i think my favorite would be the group from pod people. Musican: *smiles* "It Sucked"
And the California Lady (or was it girl) song cracked me up.

Yeah I agree with phantom, good guitar work from the Night Jumpers (even if it was a rip-off on a guitar lick of whose name I can't recall)
I'm ashamed to admit, I kind of like California Lady, at least there's some competence, as compared to say Arch Hall Jrs. skills as a songwriter.

And don't forget The Platters who were in Girls' Town.
I think they win for best musical act in a MST3K ep. Hands down. They were definitely better than Paul Anka. Erch.

You know, I was just about to do The Del-Aires Vs. The Band That Played California Lady at Battles In The MST. Should've rushed it now, it seems. I think that I'll go with the Band That Played California Lady. They deserve a sympathy vote for all of the gambling, booze, drugs, womanizing,.....

I also dug the "Birds", from "The Killer Bees". I've Always liked that British power pop, rock sound of the 60's.

Seems like this wasn't resolved. There, maybe I resolved it. Even if the eskimo did slip into a deep depression of gambling and out of control womanizing.

Weird, I was just thinking to myself yesterday about how much I like Jimmy Bryant's songs in "The Skydivers", and then I see this thread today. That early 60's rockabilly style really gets me going. A close second is the Hobgoblins band. I must be demented because I really do enjoy that "Kiss Kicker" song and the lead singer's performance. He's just so enthusiastic and all-out, so embarrasingly earnest in his feeling for the lyrics. I have an odd respect for people who unabashedly make complete asses of themselves in that way, giving such a passionate display of craziness. This may explain why I kind of like clowns.

Its definately a tie between the Pig Sticker/Kiss Kicker/Fish Licker band and Jimmy Bryant & The Night Jumpers.
The weird-ass "Ah so!" line by the Night Jumper drummer makes me laugh my face off every time, and Crow's reaction is great ("Thank you, thank you, that's fine, that'll be all!")
