I've only bought 3 MST3K DVDs so far, as being in the UK and seeing as how its not shown or sold here buying from the US is a bit difficult.
Anyhoo...
The 3 I have are Manos, Mitchell and Red Zone and they're all Region 1s. Are they still being released as Region 1s, or dare I hope they may have switched to Region 0? I don't have a multiregion player, you see, so I'm having to rip them onto PC...

Your best bet is to e-mail Rhino and ask them directly.

Fortunately places like Amazon make it easy to order from the UK. You can pick up multiregion players at places like Asda and Tesco for around £35.00. Amazon.co.uk has one for £29.99.

The only Rhino DVD's that are Region 0 are Eegah and The Brain That Wouldn't Die ( I only know this as I tried all the DVD's out on my PC which I have set to R2). Fortunately my DVD player is hacked for R1 dvd's so I don't have a problem.
I always thought that Hollywood wanted region coding to prevent piracy on their big releases, so why bother with region coding on a TV show?

Silly, isn't it? I was hoping that cos some other companies have gone from R1 to R0 Rhino might have, its not like we're going to get a R2 release of anything.
Ah well. Guess I'll have to get a multiregion player soon...

What player do you have? Maybe there's a hack available for it.

A JVC XV-S302. Totally unhackable, as far as I know...

I suppose you could buy a cheap hackable player.

The best move would be to get a computer DVD-ROM drive, and watch them on your computer. Most of the software available for it can switch region modes.

I think if you rip them with a prgram like DVD Derypter and burn a backup it will be region free.
