Why is it that whenever Gypsy appears, she's nearly always on the left hand side of the shot?
I can only think of 3 times she isn't - in the mirror universe Deep 13, during the cheese segment of Monster a Go Go, and during the fire drill she insists on in an episode I can't remember...

it probably had to do with the fact Kevin might of had to be in the shot closer so it would be hard to get around him.
The left side always looked more accessable.
Or maybe just an unconcious tradition.
but hey, its just a show and we should really just relax.

I was watching last night and I noticed that Dr. Forrester's vein in his left eye was slightly more pronounced than that of the vein in his right eye. Did anyone else notice that?

Guys/gals, let's keep this a dignified social intercourse, all right?
As for your question, the answer is simple. Behind the desk on the SOL there were two areas lower than the floor. One was rather large and the other one small. The smaller one is where Kevin would stand to play Servo. The larger one is where Trace/Bill would play Crow, and Jim/Patrick would play Gypsy. The reason for this was that it was found to be better if Joel ran to his left when they said "We have movie sign!" because he could make a faster exit that way. This is shown in the MST3K scrapbook, if I remember correctly.
