Hi everyone, new , and semi-long fan of MST3k. I've read how people 'bought' entire seasons of MST3k. Are there VHS cassettes of this? Or are their Season sets like the Simpsons Season DVDs for example. The Rhino dvds have select episodes from different seasons in them.
I'm appalled by not only the cancellation, but taking MST3k off the air. I managed to only catch some episodes since the Scifi days which have become cherished memories for me.

Hey, welcome to the board. There are several ways to buy and trade for individual episodes or even seasons of MST3K, though only for episodes that aren't already being sold by Rhino or Best Brains.
A good place for you to start looking might be in our tape trades thread so you can see what kind of episodes people have available for trade.
There are lots of websites that deal with selling episodes as well. These copies aren't going to be official, but it's the best you can get of most eps. Different sites offer different things, but you can get cds, VHS tapes, or DVDs if you go to the right place.
Start with the tape trades thread, and if you have any more questions feel free to ask.

If you buy a season of The Simpsons on DVD, you'll pay $45 for twenty 22-minute episodes (no commercials).
If you go with a season of the X-Files, you're looking at $100 (list price) for twenty 45-minute episodes.
MST3K seasons are usually 20+ eps, each one an hour and a half long. I think it's a very reasonable price.

I agree they're cheaper , though i bought my simpsons seasons for 30-35.
Based on the following episodes i saw, not many, but i'll try to remember all the ones i caught on Sci-Fi, based on these, which i liked all of them, should i start to buy from the very beginning, or select seasons? I'd like to have all of them. I'm just asking to know if they're all funny like the following (which is all the ones i saw): Puma Man Ice Princess (Snow princess/prince ??) The Screaming Skull Batpeople Some movie about witches MST3k Movie Boggie Creek II The Shrinking Planet Hamlet Devil Doll Giant Spider Invasion Prince of Space The Phantom Planet Hobgoblins Horrors of Spider Island

1) Ice Princess (Snow princess/prince ??) 2) Batpeople 3) Some movie about witches 4) The Shrinking Planet Close, El Nino but lemmee try to give you the titles of these. In the same order: 1) Jack Frost 2) It Lives By Night (The MST version is called this but Bat People is an alternate title) 3) The Touch of Satan 4) I think you're refering to Phantom Planet again unless there's another movie about a shrunken planet.
