It's common for albums (or "CDs" for you kids) to have one or two songs geared for radio airplay, while the other cuts are "filler". However, sometimes the filler songs are better than the hits.
Each season has its "filler" episodes. They don't make anyone's top 10 list. They rarely (if ever) get mentioned or discussed on these boards. They tend to be the last eps acquired in MSTies' collections. But they often outshine the "classics". I, for one, prefer the overlooked and underrated things in life.
I tried to limit the list to one per season (not counting KTMA, 1, and 7). There are plenty of worthy episodes that didn't make this list, so if enough people vote, I'll put together a part 2.
My vote is for ep 211, as it was the first episode I ever watched and has sentimental value for me.

I'm a bit stuck as I possess none of the CC eps referenced and have only seen them sparingly. So, I went with She Creature, which seems to be a fairly unpopular episode. I thought Lance Fuller's non-acting, and the resultant riffs and host segment, were a riot. Carlo Lombardi was a bad movie treasure in my opinion as well. Overall, She Creature is vastly underrated.
It Lives by Night is really good; a bit too 70's annoying at times, but still an overlooked option.

Out of all of those I've only seen Phantom Planet and It Lives By Night. Since ILBN challenges Pod People as my least favorite episode ever, I'm going for Phantom Planet.

Teenage Crimewave is an overlooked classic in my opinion. Every time I watch it, it gets funnier and funnier.

Good thread idea! I love The Being from Another Planet. Great invention exchange, great host segments and good riffing on the movie.
Edited to say: While I think that The She Creature is a weak episode, the Tickle-Me Carlo Lombardi doll almost makes it all worthwhile!

Sadly, I had seen only one mentioned episode: "Being From Another Planet". It's not classic or very memorable, but funny IMO.

It's funny because before I read your list, I read the post and thought of 'It Lives By Night'. Pretty obsure for just how good it is.
The VHS I had this taped on got screwed up so I wasn't able to watch it for a long time until I got DAP and downloaded it. It had been a long enough time from when I saw it last that all the jokes (though familiar) were fresh and I was really leaning into it, laughing a good belly laugh every few minutes. I remember it felt great.

Though that last line was Mike.

I really like Phantom Planet. It's actually a pretty watchable movie. It's fun and the riffing isn't bad either.

I haven't seen all the eps on the list, but I remember "Phantom Planet" was pretty good.

I picked Being from Another Planet. It's such a cheesy bad movie, and I love the riffs. And even though Ben Murphy isn't as mellow as his other roles, he is still fun to make fun of. Great Invention Exchange, too.
I wish you had Colossus and the Headhunters for season 6 instead of AMTP. While AMTP had classic hilarious short, the rest of the movie was a tad boring. I just think CATHH was brilliant throughout and I never hear people talk about it.

Like I said, there are enough forgotten eps for at least 2 of these polls. Maybe next week I'll launch part 2.

I loved It Lives by Night. The Mary Tyler Moore host segment was really funny for me, as was a lot of the bat-riffs in the movie.
*Scenes of a bat and a guy fighting in a dream* "LET ME GO!"
"A human! He'll entangle my feet with his hair!"
"So, wait a minute, how could SHE become a bat? The only contact she had with her husband was when she- Oh my God. EEEWWW!"
