More What's Your Opinion! What a great show! Terrific riffing and host segments, and the worst movie ever made! But for some the film is just too poor to watch. To that I say, "If you think this is bad, you'll never survive Hamlet." But what do you think?

Funny ep. But it's "classic" status is more based on the crappiness of the movie rather than the riffing. Plus the fact that Torgo is so weird. But the riffing itself is just above average, methinks.
To be honest, I get bored watching it.

I'm a big fan of this one. I missed all the hoopla surrounding it as the worst movie of all time, and became a fan without other input (that was in '96 when MST finally turned me). I think the riffing is excellent, but some host segments could have been better, in particular the "Torgo is a monster?" one. I really dislike that one for some reason - is it just not funny? On the other hand, Frank's "But this time, we really went too far" just kills me, don't particularly care for Clay's follow-up.

Like Dave Walker I saw this before the hype. I saw it in the video store and knew it was the kind of film I would love seeing Msted more than any other. I love the film, love the riffing. It's the ultimate ep and still my number one favorite.

I love the episode.
Maybe it's just me, but I find the "Torgo is a Monster?" segment very funny.
JOEL: If I wanted to scare people, I'd have really huge forearms.
SERVO: Uh..... you kinda do.
CROW: I'd have a tongue the size of a sleeping bag! A thumb the size of a bowling pin! But not on my hand!
SERVO: I'd have one big droopy pinky, and I'd drag it behind me!

yeah, wearing an ear like a shroud. priceless. Also, one of the first episodes I ever watched. Needless to say, it blew my mind. I mean, take a step back. Pretend youve never heard of or seen MST3K. Youre flippingthrough stations and you come across THAT episode.
i was hooked

Manos is like the one song from a band that EVERYONE has heard. Not necessarily the best, but the most popular. I'm entertained by it, but there are definitely better ones. I really think the pure crapiness of the movie itself it what makes this one super.

I only found it funny the first time I saw it. Ever since then it's been boring.

It's a classic in my book. A top 5 episode.
From the short, to the end, and extremely funny episode.
