So which eps do you think divide opinions the most? 1011 - Horrors of Spider Island Has been describers as one of the worst eps but others (like me) quite like it. 812 - Incredibly Strange Creatures might be another. Some like it, some hate it.
Some might say 424 - Manos: the Hands of Fate, it has it's detractors but I think overall it is a popular ep.
So I'm not asking for what popular ep you don't care for but which ones have you noticed tend to divide opinions somewhat down the middle?

Hamlet.
It has quite a vociferous support group along with its unfan club.

Hamlet. It has quite a vociferous support group along with its unfan club. True but overall I think the detractors outnumber the supporters. What do you, the viewer think? Edit: In fact upon further reflection I think detractors way outnumber the supporters. I really don't think it qualifies as a "divider" ep. Sorry chuck, usually you're solid gold but I disagree here.

Maybe Pod People, can't watch it myself judging from what I've read here looks like it might be half and half.

I'm not a fan of Pod People either, so I think that qualifies, as well as those Phantom has mentioned. Others I think should be included: The Creeping Terror, Bloodlust, Santa Claus and SCCTM (depending on your perspective), Deathstalker, Mole People, OATMB, Deadly Bees, Dr. Z - I think the SciFi eps might divide us more.

I've noticed Angel's Revenge tends to be a love it or hate it ep around here.
And there is a good balance between Prince of Space lovers and Prince of Space critics.

I don't know, My experience is these are generally well liked, even loved. I think detractors (such as myself) are in the minority. And if that's the case, not quite divider eps.

I brought up those two as these seem to be one or the other. I like Santa Claus, but don't care for SCCTM. As I recall, the same, and the opposite, is true for many.

I doubt I have my finger on the pulse of the MST3K community -- but Batwoman, perhaps? Many hate it, but many love it, too.

I still think the majority likes them. That may be true, but that's why I tossed in the clause: "depending on your perspective." I agree with Samptari on Angel's Revenge, and also need to add Alien from LA. Angel's seems touch and go, but I don't really have a gauge on it - I'm iffy on it as well. Alien from LA seems much maligned, but for whatever reason, I seem to think there are plenty of fans that could equal the non-fans.

...In fact upon further reflection I think (the "Hamlet") detractors way outnumber the supporters. This is, of course, among the folks here who even offered their opinions in the first place, but it's a reasonable assumption. There may be more fans than we know, and obviously, more haters. I usually don't offer that kind of opinion, because like discussions of music, movies, etc., there are just too many items to pick from (damn near 200 MST installments). I love 'em all so far, but the weird thing is, I'm on the fan side of "Hamlet," having seen it at least 10 times (its only real fault IMO is the surprising lack of riffs, but that's not enough to kill it for me), but have only seen "Manos" twice (the riffs only just barely enough to help me stomach the most uncomfortably horrible film outside of From Dusk Till Dawn and Showgirls)... go figure. The fact that ya had any kind of lengthy for/against thread about "Hamlet" tells me it's enough of a "divider." I mean, unless I overlooked 'em, I don't believe we've done that for "Pod People" or "Cave Dwellers."

I'm going to say Hamlet anyway. Even if it's not evenly divisive, the divisivness is very vocal and obvious.
But for a less controversial decision....Quest Of The Delta Knights. I love it, I know lots of people who love it, but I've also heard this one maligned a lot (mainly from people who just don't like it because "Pearl's theater segment ruins it", but a few who just generally don't care for it.)
