Sent a friend over a dozen eps or so over the last few months, and he now appears to be hooked. I've not even had to bring out the big gun 'classics' like Manos or Space Mutiny, he's loving San Francisco International and Fugitive Alien and even Alien from LA.
Just feel kinda warm inside knowing that I've brought one more Mstie into the world.

I've got at least two direct converts (not counting anybody _they_ may have converted afterwards)...and that's not including my family, who are not technically "converts" as they discovered the show along _with_ me instead of my trying to convince them after I became a fan, seperately.
Anyway, neither of my two main non-family converts will be coming here, sadly. The first one...I never knew well enough to know if she goes on the 'net or not, what her screen name is, etc. And the other is just too busy to go on messageboards at all. If she did, however, I'm sure this is the kind of place she'd like.
Still, as for converting people with non-"classic"/fan-popular episodes...I dare anybody here to beat my record of converting somebody with "Robot Monster". Heh. ;)

Well done, KG. We must continue to spread the goodness that is MST3K.

I converted my mom. She likes the show as well. When we watched the Pod People dvd, every time Crow said McCloud, I laughed my @$$ off. Now, every time I say McCloud, or "McCormick.....McCloud!" she shakes her head at me, lol.
