I do agree. Like Cinematic Titanic, The Mads never play in Idaho. I'd love to see their shows at some point.
Though I imagine Trace and Frank might have gotten addicted to live performances after Cinematic Titanic, and they might feel that digital and/or physical releases might affect their attendance. That's just a theory though.

I asked them about the possibility of Shout or RiffTrax recording their shows after a performance in Omaha. Trace said they might do it when they're ready to retire a movie from their roster of live shows, but for now they're just enjoying performing live.
But Shout Factory was displayed prominently on their pre-show slide, so I think they're on pretty good ground with Shout now.

Honestly, at the end of the day, all I hope is we manage to get a boxset for the fall/Christmas time.
Having only one boxset released this year just seems depressing.

I was browsing Shout's website and found that Vol. XVII is now out of print. Could be a number of reasons. They lost the rights to a episode. They're retiring the old sets to reissue in cheaper editions. But either way, if you don't own this already, you might want to look into it. It's currently under $20 on Amazon.

I would hate to think the revival of the series translates into rights holders suddenly jacking up their prices to renegotiate previously released episodes.

Did a small update on the Paramount titles to reflect the Warner deal ending. I'm curious to see as to what titles are more likely... the films released by Olive (SPACE CHILDREN/DEADLY BEES), the long-OOP DIABOLIK or the completely-unreleased-on-DVD GIRLS TOWN. I could see Paramount giving up GIRLS TOWN, SPACE CHILDREN and DEADLY BEES before DIABOLIK, but only time will tell... I was browsing Shout's website and found that Vol. XVII is now out of print. Well, it's most likely THE CRAWLING EYE (Wade Williams) or FINAL SACRIFICE (if I remember correctly, they had to keep offering the owner more money to get him to license it in the first place).

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Final Sacrifice... unless Wade is suddenly having a poor relationship with Shout due to the whole Rocketship X-M deal.

I hope it's The Final Sacrifice... we need Wade to reissue Vol. 9 with Prehistoric Women.
Wasn't Final Sacrifice in a similar situation as Soultaker? Where they tracked down the rights to a single person who probably wanted too much for it.

I think the owner of Final Sacrifice just wasn't interested, and then he suddenly changed his mind. At least, that's what I remember Jordan mentioning in the interview.
The owner of Soultaker just wasn't happy having to license the movie for the Mst3k version to begin with.

Yeah I would bet money that It's Final Sacrifice.

I recall from an early Q&A with Shout that FINAL SACRIFICE was one they said wasn't likely to get released but later announced it saying they had offered him more money. I don't think Wade would refuse to re-up THE CRAWLING EYE just over ROCKETSHIP X-M. He's licensed everything else MST3k riffed minus WOMEN OF THE PREHISTORIC PLANET so far, and must at least appreciate the income while his catalog remains without a distributor.
