So many monsters, so little fear. One monster was sort of a wolfman. But you couldn't really see him because the film was so dark and grainy. One monster was a robot. Who was also a gorilla. Who was also an alien. Who was really just a guy in a monkey suit with a diver's helmet on. Huh. One monster was a superimposed lizard. But he can apparently break into a county barn-dance hoedown kinda shindig. So there's that. The last monster was a rubber octopus with no motor. Unless Lobo was the monster in that one. To be honest, I was never quite clear on that. One reason for the confusion is that Ed Wood originally titled it "Bride of the Atom". Of course, the real reason for the confusion is that Ed Wood wrote and filmed it. So which monster is the scariest? Or makes the best episode? Or would make the best action figure? It doesn't matter, just vote randomly. It's all pointless anyway. But none of the monsters compare to the one that gave me night terrors as a child. That's right....

Had to go for "Bride of The Monster" , as the others were at least "trying" for some kind of monster. Now within "Bride" tho' , we ought to have a sub-poll. Are we indeed voting for an Octo-beast that just lies there like a soggy rug ? . . or for Tor ? I aim my vote at the octopus, scary for all the wrong unintended reasons.

I have to go with Giant Gila Monster. It's the only one in the list who's plot I can remember.

I was really really REALLY torn between Giant Gila and Robot, but in the end went with Robot Monster for its whackadoo surrealism, which was achieved entirely by accident, and therefore must be treasured and loved, like a sign from above.
Where on the graph do Must and Cannot meet?

I chose the Gila Monster if only for that stupid song "Laugh, Children, Laugh".

Gotta go with Gila but Bride is good also. Atari, I guess you left off Monster a Go-Go because after all, there was no monster.

You know, now that I think about it, Monster A-Go-Go really needs to be included. Not including it makes for a good punchline, but it goes against the spirit and main rule of these polls. Namely, that the content of the movies is in no way a determining factor in their inclusion.
I screwed up.
And since it's still technically Friday (in Denver, anyway), I'm going to lock this one and start again.
Everyone who voted, make sure you vote again. Just pretend you're in Chicago.
