So many monsters, so little fear. One monster was sort of a wolfman. But you couldn't really see him because the film was so dark and grainy. One monster was a robot. Who was also a gorilla. Who was also an alien. Who was really just a guy in a monkey suit with a diver's helmet on. Huh. One monster was a superimposed lizard. But he can apparently break into a county barn-dance hoedown kinda shindig. So there's that. One monster was, well...there was no monster. Still, he was kinda nasty until the universe created a temporal vortex and erased his existence. The last monster was a rubber octopus with no motor. Unless Lobo was the monster in that one. To be honest, I was never quite clear on that. One reason for the confusion is that Ed Wood originally titled it "Bride of the Atom". Of course, the real reason for the confusion is that Ed Wood wrote and filmed it. So which monster is the scariest? Or makes the best episode? Or would make the best action figure? It doesn't matter, just vote randomly. It's all pointless anyway. But none of the monsters compare to the one that gave me night terrors as a child. That's right....

Monst A-Go Go easily has the best monster. I think so because as Ed Wood used stock footage of a real octopus to flesh out his fake monster, HG Lewis used Bill Rebane's pretty good monster to fill out his fake movie.

I think MR. ATARI eloquently answered his own question with the write up examining each of the "monsters". I can add no better words. It's truly a toss up as to which of the monsters was better, but there's no doubt in my mind that Bride of The Monster is the best episode in the lot. The short 'Hired 1' gives it the edge --- but the Ed Wood freakshow starring Bela & Tor helps alot too.
I have this on an old video tape right after ED WOOD the movie. It's a good warm-up for this episode.
"Maybe I should not have dressed as the angel of death..."

I voted for Robot Monster. I really wish I could say I had a reason, but it just seemed to be beckoning me, and I can't resist a good beckon.

Mad Monster is an underrated episode in general, but Bride wins easily.

I've only seen two of these episodes (Robot and Bride) and I really don't care enough about either one to vote for them.

I like Mr. Atari's idea of MST action figures. I'll take Tor & Bella in a 2 pack.

Robot Monster makes the best episode of the bunch.
"Calcitrator Ray"
or
"You're so bossy, somebody ought to milk you!"
"DIBS!"

I really like Giant Gila Monster... It is good old campy fun... Plus the singing of the lead character (not to mention his knee hikes) make it one of my all time faves!

As good as Robot Monster is for a Josh-era episode, I've got to go with the Gila Monster. Monster A-Go-Go has better riffing, but as a movie Gila Monster is much more fun than MAGG, and that puts it over the top for me.
Really they're all good, solid episodes - except, of course, for Mad Monster. One of these things is not like the other, indeed.

Monster A Go Go's one of the funniest episodes they'ev ever done. It gets my vote.
And I'm another Mad Monster backer, it has a couple of real big laughs in it. It's far from being a classic but I never thought it was as bad as reported .
