Anyone else remember a moment where it was uncomfortable to be watching TV or a movie with kids or parents or grandparents.
I remember when I was in like junior high I saw "there's something about Mary" with both my parents and my dad told me for like a week that "What that guy did before a date is not a good idea"
Then I watched that Seinfeld episode "The Junior Mint" with my dad and if you'll recall Jerry can't recall his girlfriends name and his only clue is that it rhymns with a female body part. To this day I don't know if my dad got the joke, but a started laughing like crazy and then pretended not to know the answer.
Then just last night I was watching tv with my mom and the ad for ky warming liquid came on. You know the one where the guy and girl smile at each other, she reads how it "warms on contact" and then says "That'll work." God! They might as well use the fake slogan going around the internet "KY jelly, we can't think of anything else to do with it either."
Anyway, maybe other people don't get uncomfortable about this sort of thing. It's not that I'm sexually repressed or a prude, it's just that I don't want to talk to my parents about that sort of thing.
Anyone else got one?

The potential for it is higher now. I'm sure some of those boner ads could be awkward for some. You know like Rogain and such. I swear you can't turn on the TV without seeing a boner ad any more.

I agree with phantom. To wit, the line that says: "Erections lasting more than four hours..." Uh, how do you explain that sort of thing to your 5 year old nephew while watching a football game? That ky one is pretty bad too. But, I think the worst are the ones I used to see on SpikeTV. Not sure if they still run them, but it's for natural male enhancement. Nuff said.

Have you seen the Overstock commercials? I mean yeah sure, the lady for them is good looking but man the unsubtle way she poses for the camera is just unneccissary for a commercial about overstocked items. It tries to be subtle and comes off as cheap. Does EVERYthing have to center around sex these days? Get some f'n class, commercials.

That's what I like about you yousonuva, you're a dreamer. Or a cock-eyed optimist (no pun intended). We all know that sex sells, no matter how little class its presented with.

Pretty much any MST3K episode that has a movie featuring sexual nuances is a little ackward when I watch it with my dad. I never really watch TV with my mom, so that's out.

Where the hell have you been? One time I was watching A ClockWork Orange and some little kids ran into the room right at the rape scene. So I tried to turn it off but it was to late...

LOL! I remember when I first saw ACO, I was watching it with my little brother, and the rape scene caught me off guard, and my stomach sank, my eyes were assulted by unspeakable evil, and that whole scene is just awkward, weird, sad, funny, frightening and plain weird. Yeah the sad thing is it does not end with that... A while ago I was watching it again and my Mother walked in that was worse.

Guess the general concensus is with Orange to be aware of who's in close proximity when you watch it. My worst experience was taking a little 10 year old girl and a 70 year old Aunt to see "Chicago" the movie with Gere and Zita-Jones. The first couple of minutes of Zellweger steamy and then shooting her boyfriend might have been too much for the little one. I told her to cover her eyes, but then still felt very awkward. My error big-time as I had seen it before and should have remembered that scene.
