My friend has quite a collection of MST tapes (as I've said on another topic board here) and most of them are from the early Joel days. When these episodes were taped he didn't edit out the commercials. I've noticed that there will never be a perfect toothbrush and car commercials will never change. I also learned that I miss Joel. I miss Mike. I miss Crow T. Robot. I miss Tom Servo. I miss Gypsy. I miss TV's Frank. I miss Dr Forrester. I miss Josh. I miss the two mole people that used to hang out with the mads.
I'm about to put in Manos. Oh God, how I love Manos the Hands of Fate! For a while I had Torgo on my answering machine saying, "I am Torgo, I take care of the place while the master is away." update on my weekend marathon: tape #1 The Crawling Hand, Gamera, The Slime Creatures. Can I go wrong? Tape #2 Laser BLast and Swamp Diamonds Tape #3 - The Creeping Terror & The Bide of the Monster (Yes!! Bela! and my favorite line from any movie, ever!))

Bela Lugosi's dead. . . Undead undead undead. . .
Sorry, I had to do that. But with Manos and this Torgo fellow it makes my upcoming VHS purchase of the episode more more looking forward-to-ish. And you have never noticed car commercials never change? Madness, my friend, madness.

Oh to see your reaction after your first viewing of Manos. It will be like seeing that child coming out of their first haunted house. The deathly ill tone in your voice will be like a Christmas present to me. On a similar note, I made a friend of mine who has been a Mistie almost as long as me watch Manos for the first time about a month ago. Even a seasoned vet like him was horrifed at the horror that is...."Manos,,, The...Hands of Fate".

Oh, Manos. The first time I saw Manos the Hands of Fate was like taking long rusty nails and hammering them into my turpentine soaked eyes while fantasizing about Barbara Streisand in a string bikini feeding me the arms and legs of unfortunate Lepers. That, however, changed with time. I have not seen the un-MSTied version yet. But I really want to. It has become a flick that I hold dear to my heart. I want my doorbell to have the Torgo walking theme.

Maybe put it as the email notification sound on my desktop? Oh yeah.

Yeah, it would be awesome to have as a doorbell. I have it as my sound on the computer it plays whenever it asks you if you're SURE you want to do something. I'm like, yes, yes, I'm sure. Just don't bring Torgo after me.

And, what's worse is that I will be leaving to Georgia Friday, and tommorow is a Holiday, so you will have a late Christmas present, TomServo.
