Troma!

I've plowed through some of the old threads, and I couldn't find one about Troma, and it seems there are more than a few fans on the board.
My first exposure was definitely the Toxie cartoon, but it wasn't until much later that I saw the movie. After seeing Killer Condom, I began to actively hunt the flicks down.
We aren't talking cinematic brillance-as a true lover of horrible movies, Troma delivers to me better than anyone since Roger Corman. But I like the buried points of actual quality, and the humor is great. Plus, I like sex and violence.
So please, share your love OR hate of Troma.

Yeah, it's kind of odd a MST3K doesn't have much on Troma, especially seeing as TWO of the personalities of MST3K started out on a Troma film. The only one I remember is challenging someone to find a copy of, watch, and review Blood Hook.

I have found a copy, but I haven't been able to afford it yet. It's right at the top of my shopping list.

I like troma movies also. I have to have a shot of something first, because I don't think I could last till the end stone sober.
I rented blood hook years ago, but I can't remember a thing about it. That was before I had watched mst3k. I may have to rerent it now.

Toxie was my first. A friend of mine in college introduced me to him. Great fun.
I only own one Troma DVD: "Cannibal! The Musical!" It's the first thing Matt Stone and Tre Parker ever did. It's a musical based on Alferd Packer. The commentary track is the best part. They have a bunch of friends over, get drunk, and talk smack about Tre's ex-girlfriend, who is in the film.

Whatever you do, for the love of God and everything holy, avoid Blades at all costs. Honestly it's the worst thing Troma has ever put out. Unless you like homicidal lawn mowers that kill with absolutely no motive...and no driver either. Basically, it was Maximum Overdrive without the comet or the awesome toy truck with the Goblin face.
Troma's Tainted was good though. Like Kevin Smith's Clerks, only with vampires. It was pretty sweet.

The first Troma film I ever saw was their excellent MONSTER IN THE CLOSET. Since then, I have seen classics like CURSE OF THE CANNIBAL CONFEDERATES, DEMENTED DEATH FARM MASSACRE, DEADLY DAPHNE'S REVENGE, DEF BY TEMPTATION, and TOXIC CRUSADERS: THE MOVIE. I have yet to see THE TOXIC AVENGER, but if I see it used, I will pick it up.
I think the best part of their DVDs are the intros by Lloyd. He has a really hysterical one on the TOXIC CRUSADERS: THE MOVIE disc as Uncle Lloydie.

Don't forget such classics as Toxie, Class Of Nuke 'Em High, Cannibal!, Terror Firmer, Killer Condom, and even Bloodsucking Freaks (for flavor). Newer stuff like Tromeo And Juliet and Tales From The Crapper deserve look-sees too. Definitely go for Blood Hook! I case you guys haven't figured it out, I love Troma.

I've seena few Troma movies, they usually provide a little bit of entertainment and a lot of laughs. Of course, all depending on the quality of the movie itself.

Sgt Kabukiman, NYPD. Weird little movie. Yeah that one. Does anyone remember that Cinemax used to show Troma night or Troma month and they showed 4 of those movies. That is where I saw the Class of Nuke em High movies.

Yeah that one. Does anyone remember that Cinemax used to show Troma night or Troma month and they showed 4 of those movies. That is where I saw the Class of Nuke em High movies. That would have helped me out! I had to fight to see mine. Thank goodness for mom-and-pop video stores in college towns.
