apropos of nothing, here's one of my favorite Terry Pratchett quotes:
"Much human ingenuity has gone into finding the ultimate Before. The current state of knowledge can be summarized thus: In the beginning, there was nothing, which exploded."

Yeah, the best way to get along around here is not to worry about what other people think of you. Just post what you think is smart, funny, and interesting. Some of it will stick, and some of it won't. Over time, pretty much everyone will warm up to you just fine. The worst thing you can do is to sit and stew over what you think everyone else is thinking. No one wins that game. If you cross a line, one of us admins will let you know in a friendly way.
I'll say that I, personally, am not a fan of fangirlism. Maybe because I've met most of the Brains and think of them as real people and not fictional characters, it just strikes me as a bit creepy. Then again, I don't get why girls are attracted to effeminate vampires, either; yet a few million Twilight fans would say that I'm the crazy one. So what do I know?

But I've eaten my poop for years! His plan was foiled before it even began! You know if you wrap your poop in foil, and then bury it in the backyard for 6 months, it really brings out the flavor. Tastes like kimchi.

Did I miss something? Why is Atari going Jimmy Stewart around here? It's like when you catch your dad sniffing your underwear. Jimmy Stewart? Sniffing underwear? PANTIES!

This. This is for you. You're all right. In fact, you're better than all right; you're awesome! Especially you. But especially you. I'm sorry I said you suck. Let's never fight again.

Wow, Calli. That Texas Wheelers looks OUTSTANDING!
At the top of my list would be The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. Bruce Campbell as a cowboy in a show produced by a pre-LOST Carlton Cuse. The sci-fi elements and mysterious orb were clear predecessors to that island show. This one was the perfect balance of western, comedy, serial, mystery, and well, just darn good TV.
I'll bring up Police Squad before someone else beats me to it. Even though they recycled most of the gags for the films, it was still a great 6 hours of television.
Then there's Voyagers. I remember a few years after it was cancelled that a new "fix history through time travel" show was coming out. I remember thinking, "Boy, I hope this "Quantum Leap" show is as good as "Voyagers"."
Finally, I've been hoping for a DVD set of The New Adventures of Beans Baxter for a long time. It was one of the first shows on the fledgling FOX network back in 1987. Not only was it created by Savage Steve Holland (writer/director of classics like "Better Off Dead" and "One Crazy Summer"), but it featured Elinor Donahue, to boot.

And you wonder why I don't hang out in Sloane more often. It's one thing to compare me to Hitler, but to say I resemble Chet is a real deal-breaker. And that's why...

Someone ran a contest? You're more self-absorbed than the next guy! Why, thank you. (I fixed it in the original post.)
